I think it is personally acceptable to make comparisons. Your comment is like saying that you are having a discussion about buying a car but can only talk about Kia's and not about BMW.
You gave an excellent trip report. But a quick search of your posting history does not show a lot of mongering experience outside of Sosua. Not a criticism it just it what it is. I've hired prostitutes all over the world now and lived in the Dominican Republic, Colombia and Thailand. How in the world can I not make evaluations in light of my total experience with hiring prostitutes and living in several different counties.
Then you have posters that have such and investment in Sousa that they cannot stand to read anyone saying anything against the place. Never hurts to broaden you experiences. Sousa served its purposes at one point for me also. But not it is more important as just a meet up spot to enjoy and reacquainted with friends I have not seen in a while. As I place to hire prostitutes, it leaves much to be desired. As a sleepy beach town, with many restaurants that is walkable it is excellent.

[B]Full Disclosure[/B]: I have not been to Sosua for 48 months. From what I read seems like not much has actually changed from my experiences. I moved there differently because I could. Seeing my regulars (who are still asking when I am coming back), referrals from a good friend (Shout out to [B]Mr. Tempoecorto[/B]) and the occasional pick up from the street allows me to have the best time possible I can have in a sleepy beach town full of hos. It is walkable with a number of different cuisines available. For me it is nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there.
