Hi anybody,

Well I'm new in this Kenya forum. I usually travel to the Dominican Republic and now I will stay in Nairobi from the 26. March for around 1 month. I will work there and yes of course I know from other visits whats going one. So maybe anybody there at that time who like going out mongering. I stay in the panafric since my company is paying it.

It a project that may take some time but i think that i understand
Mongers needs so hope to open a budget bungalows hotel.

Some initial thoughts are based on current limitations and includes:

• Budget price
• Girls friendly
• Hot water
• Decent mattress that will not break our back.
• Security at all rooms (safe?)
• Friendly and informal atmosphere.
• Proximity to Casaurina Disco

Its too early now but without customers i will force to practice IT again :(

i actually advise you to rather buy a small video camera with a good photofunction, like sanyo's xacti.

very small, saves on sd-cards and you get moving action if you want.

and you can swop sd-cards, so no problems with girls, family or customs going through it. be careful! there is nothing more embarrasing then strangers seeing you humping away.

if you ever have a problem with the police, for whatever reason, the ground rule is:
stay calm and overpolite. second: if you think you won't get away for free, try to keep the numbers of officials and especially the grades involved as low as possible. if you get stopped for a traffic offense, for example, the policeguy stopping you will, let's say accept 10 usd. but once you are at the station, you wön't make it under 20 or even 30 usd, because more people and higher officers will know about it and everybody wants his share.

this rule applies to all situations, especially if they have some kind of proof, like pictures, some dope, whatever. always deal with the first one or two guys, never ever let them go away with any confirep001ed object, and never, ever hand them your passport or driving licence! in fact, i always have a copy of some library or similar i.d card. if you loose that one to them, no problem.
