Ulanbaatar

I had gone to Ulaanbaatar (UB), Mongolia on 28 June. I just got back today. I left early because they still have the State of Emergency there until at least this Tuesday after the 1 July riots over the election results. Yep, saw part of it. The rioters burnt down the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (MPRP) headquarters building. The building is in the central part of UB. Also burnt out was the National Art Museum next to the MPRP HQ's building. When I went by the building it was an inferno. Never seen a fire in a building like that before. The cause of the riots was that the Democratic Party (DP) and othe minor parites were not happy with the outcome of the election claiming voter fraud. U.S. Embassy and other internation observers made a statement that no "irregularities" were noted and that it was a "fair and free" election. The MPRP was winning a majority of Parliament seats (44 out of 76) and does not need a coalition partner this time to govern the country.

All clubs closed. Most good restaurants are closed, and NO sales or serving of any alcohol in the entire country ! !

I was in the Marco Polo Club when the riot got out of hand. MP locked up at about 10pm but if you were inside you could stay and drink and have fun unitl they closes that night at 2am. Very beautiful girls there. When MP closed is when I went by the burning buildings. Wow, never saw anything like it. A little after 2am is when the Interior Troops and additional troops were deployed and took control of Central UB. BRDMs were at major intersections. A battalion of regular armed forces was doing patrols on the perimeter of the city. Basically for the last 4 days Central UB was shut down to vehicles and a curfew from 10pm to 8am started. The last night I was there, all you needed was your passport if out after 10pm. If you didn't, you would be detained for 3 days or until the State of Emergency was lifted. 1000 people were arrested in the riot. But most places closed at 10pm.

Only respite this week was at Silver massage across from the Chinggis Khaan Hotel. Got a very nice massage from a 23 year old and she gave me a nice bbbjtc. That was it, as after the riots, all else closed. Did cruise the park next to Mr. Lenin's statue, but the women were older and not too doable. I was not that desparate, that's why I left early to come back and get the lovin' I was missin' in UB, MNG.

Will be visiting UB for the first time and was reccommended the Naraantul Hotel by a non-mongering friend. Could anyone advise how friendly this hotel is.. and what the general procedure is for Hotels in UB and which ones are have choice mongering policies? I'm getting tired of the walk and register of shame.

I like this hotel. I have stayed here before. Only 4 rooms per floor. Rate includes breakfast. Make sure to get at least the standard double. A single is just that, a single bed, not a full, queen or king bed. I always registered the girl in the hotels. If you get the double should be no problems. Small lobby and it is not really the walk of shame there to me. Good little restaurant on 3d floor and a bigger one on the 12th floor - Le Passion. Within walking distance of Suhkbaatar Square, State Department Store etc...

Most hotels in UB have a $20 fee for a 2d guest. The hotels say it is the UB City government policy to charge this. Generally if you get a girl in by around 10pm usually you don't get hit with it.

Good time of year to eat out at the Ikh Mongol (Great Mongol) Restaurant or the Grand Khaan Irish Bar.

Yeap I agree Narantuul is a good place to stay, but rather expensive. If you decide to go budget, suggest you opt for other places. If money ain't a problem. Heck go ahead by all means! Extremely near to Strings anyways!

You can head off to a good restaurant down the road called Kudaam where the portions are blown over the plate and you'd need to unbuckle your belt just to finish your meal.

Was at strings the day after Mongolia won the Olympic Gold and the crowd there was amazing. Unfortunately I don't know somehow I didn't have the feel to make a move on a girl although there was this girl with leopord skin dress trying to come on to me and my pal. Nice body, and could see that she was looking for some Company down in Strings as after 10 mins after I ignored her, an old chump started to pick her up and dancing with her and even tried to give her his handphone which she ignored. Well, the Korean Air Flight last night was delayed until this evening because of high winds at CK Airport. However, with that, work re-directed me to another place and canx my trip to UB :(:( Oh well. Will have to get htere on a holiday I guess.

She told us she was a doctor, but I don't know if she really was or it was one of the few English words she knew, or if she just said that to try to impress us.

When getting our next round of drinks we also bought her one. Before I knew it she was saying to me that she wanted to visit my apartment and that I could visit hers. As I said before, I'm a hot blooded male and by then the effects of the wine, beer and, by now, vodka were kicking in. I was enjoying the obvious flirting and of course I returned the honour!

Next thing I knew I was telling my friend that he'd have to make his own way home then she and I left together. My brain and my balls were already more than a touch addled by now but I do remember that we went by taxi to a club that I didn't recognise for a couple more vodkas. Somehow or the other we then managed to find our way back to my apartment where we were soon getting naked. My friend interrupted us briefly when he had to bang on the apartment door to be let in (I had the only key) but he just smiled and went off to his bedroom.

So it was back to my room where the girl (I still can't remember her name) was now totally naked and on my bed. I was there next to her in a flash ...... I think, me head was spinning by now. But I do have a vague memory of her asking something about if I had any money, to which I responded by pulling all the cash I had out of my discarded trouser pocket and putting it on the table.

She stayed the night and we somehow managed to have lots of sex in a variety of places and positions, although I was more than a little disappointed with my performance due to the alcohol. An even bigger concern for a long time after was that we didn't use any protection - again the alcohol being the cause.

Two days later there was a knock at the apartment door and my wife answered. It was that girl again!!!! I must have turned a very dark shade of red. Fortunately the girl quickly weighed up the situation and said to my wife (in Mongolian) that she had helped me home that night and was just checking that I was OK. My wife left us alone to chat and the girl told me she wanted me to visit her place. I was tempted but sober so said no. She was OK about it and left. My wife asked why I hadn't mentioned her before. I replied that I was so drunk that I didn't really remember (partly true).

A couple of days later we were all at the Grand Khaan Irish Pub and I saw the same girl go to a table of ex-pats and sit with them, then later leave with one of the guys. I have heard since that this is a regular situation. So it's easy to have sex in Mongolia with girls who don't want to call themselves WGs and probably don't negotiate a rate. Just don't let them get you too drunk first!!
