* during week-ends and holiday periods it is the sea-side retreat for Bangkok's masses. They invariably come in pick-up trucks and other mass transit vehicles, choke up the roads and fill the beach chairs. Their minds are not on P4P.

* The city is also a university city (my GF is doing her PhD there) ; so it is full of young students, many of them on a tight budget and looking out for someone to sponsor them. Of course given the scarcity of farang in Ban Saeng, it is a buyer's market. As my GF told me, in the apartment block she lives there is an old Scandinavian guy, who has a regular Thai GF, but who still receives many young students in his apartment when the GF is not in town.

There are a few MPs in town, but as far as I could see they are not really geared toward farang and I do not know if they offer more than a regular massage. With a Thai GF who takes good care of me, I did not have the urge to go check these MPs out.

I'd think there would be a scene in Krabi but not sure since I've never been there. Can someone chime in?

I saw millions of hot chicks in Phuket and negotiated some good deals yet no ISG reports.

Easy to miss if you are not looking hard enough. Not a huge number of girls but enough for a week's visit and some good quality ones at that. I much prefer the low profile scene at Krabi than the bawdiness of Phuket or, God-forbid, Pattaya.

I have only been to Bang Saen a couple of times. Each time was with a 'Playmate. '

Great for a few days relaxing with some pleasant company and good seafood but, as you say not a huge scene there!

Although I always had a playmate when I was there I seem to remember that in a few of the small bars there were girls who certainly seemed to be interested in some Farrang company.

These may have been 'professionals' or just 'civilians' but I have yet to visit any place in Thailand where there were not a few enthusiastic ladies who were more than ready to keep a western guy happy.

With all the students there I would be more than surprised if there were not a few young girls who were looking for some Farrang company.

OK, it is definitely NOT Pattaya or Bangkok but I am SURE that you will be able to find something to relieve the pressure.

If you sit in one of the bars or coffee shops and smile at any young lady (or ladies) who happen to be there I am CERTAIN it will not be too long before you have some pleasant company, P4P or civilian!

Sez Hotel and Tides are the two hotels that I have used. When I stayed at Sez I was the ONLY Farrang there!
