But once you've gotten past the newbie stage I think you'll realize he's not as knowledgeable as he portrays himself to be. Some of the info he puts out there is IMO not the best advice and at times even flat out incorrect. (To be clear I like the guy and have a positive opinion of him overall.) Not sure how all it transpired over 15 hours but if someone ODed and was discovered early enough life saving meds could have been administered soon enough. Thinking HK did not intentionally fail to follow up but unfortunately too much time had passed before they realized / caught it. Very sad.
Also important to note these types of things do happen proly very frequently in the USA and for many years but never really hear much about this either in the US. Too many other top news stories. At least our small community is aware.

Last time I was there last year 3 times during the day someone knocked on the door and told me that time was up. Even if I payed for the room for 3 days. The HK side is really packed, but if you walk over to the Las Chavelas side it is practically empty. They can shift some of the capacity by either breaking down the walls that separates the two or improving Las Chavelas from the current sad-state.

Yes, I stopped just blindly going for the hottest ones. I tip them $1 or buy them drinks to feel out the vibes, if they're playful and has a great attitude then I take them up. This strategy has been working well so far.

No offense CS. But. Cascada is only a few inches above a shithole.
Cascada is not 5-star on US scale, may be about 2-star, but it's unfair to call it a shithole.
It's a very good hotel for mongers. There are no other better, more convenient, more comfortable hotels in La Zona where you can take hot HK and street girls to party and have sex, perhaps except Rizzo de Oro. Got to admit the single rooms are small and feel claustrophobic for long stay, just get doubles or master suites for more room.
I have not gotten early knocks in ST. Took a hot street girl in $7ST room last Sunday night, room was nice, clean, smelling good, sexy with that red mood ring light on the ceiling. The room attendant even brought an extra set of towels and bed sheets. We had a long, sweaty, exhaustive session with no knocks. When I left she was still in the room washing up.
