Oh, I forgot about the FDR shooting
McKinley.
JFK.
RFK.
Ford (twice).
Reagan.
4 times the shooter made a direct hit. 3 times the target victim died.
All had male Directors of the Secret Service. No mention of DEI. No mention of PC. No demands on both sides for anyone to resign.
I wonder if any one of them except Ford would have happily traded their Secret Service protection results over a grazed ear, possibly by glass shards going along for the ride rather than the bullet itself.
I was reminded earlier today of the FDR shooting. In early 1933, President-elect FDR was shot at in an open limo. Five shots. As in the JFK, Reagan and Trump shooting, other people in close proximity to him but without Secret Service protection assigned to them were hit. 4 bystanders were wounded and the Mayor of Chicago was killed.
Again, the Director of the Secret Service at the time was male, so there was no mention of anything like DEI or PC and both sides did not demand anyone resign.
Mind you, thanks solely to the Republican Party's slavish devotion to their NRA benefactors' wish to arm every lunatic in America with the most sophisticated and effective weaponry to kill as many human beings as possible with the least amount of effort, it is no doubt more difficult to prevent anyone from being shot today than ever before.
I don't recall anyone demanding that GW Bush resign for allowing the assault-rifle ban to lapse or that every member of Congress who voted No on Biden's recent gun safety bill to resign.
Where have you been all these years?
When was their an attempt to lynch pence? What was the guy's name who tried to lynch him? This is news to be me.
Chanting "hang Mike Pence" doesn't qualify?

I have not yet heard Trump saying that.
You mean where Trump said to March peacefully, and the only person shot and killed was a Republican protestor? You mean the March where you Democratic douches were so anxious to say it caused deaths you counted security guards who committed suicide days and weeks later? You mean the March where the FBI director would not tell us how many FBI informants were in the crowds? You mean the March where gun owning MAGA citizens left their guns behind?
I think I can speak for most Republicans in saying the only reason to show up at the Democratic convention would be to laugh. The people protesting are in your party.
And you douches created your own issues within your party with your prowar nonsense and at least in the case of the Palestinians it has come back to bite you in the butt. Netanyahu has walked all over Dementia Joe and is using USA bombs to blow up people waving white flags screaming surrender. Everything Biden has done with the Israeli conflict has been a joke including building a dock that was swept away by the sea.
Well, here is what is not next, your last prediction that Biden would win. Hell, you do not even know what is going to happen next. Odds of Harris winning is at 80%, but that is only if people do not who she is. Right now, she is not Trump and not demented like Biden. Those are her supposed positives.
Tulsi Gabbard shredded Kamala Harris in the 2020 election debates. Now you have RFK JR. Just destroy her in 2 minutes here: https://twitter.com/EndTribalism/status/1815144842072048077
Odds are she is going to win the nomination but once people get over the fact that she can walk and talk unlike Biden and they actually see the real her, she is going to be cannon fodder.
AS for MAGA, douches like you think it is Trump when the reality is MAGA is a populist movement against bureaucracy and the deep state with which Trump is the face of. It is not going away with Trump. JD Vance will be leading it after him. In 2016, Ben Carson told Trump that either he or Trump would win the election because the party wanted an outsider, and the Democratic voters wanted the same. The Deep State just rigged things so Hiliary and not Bernie won.
After J6, Covid, the assassination attempt, an administration not being run by an elected candidate, and now a Democratic nominee who has not one one delegate's vote previously, the MAGA movement is stronger than ever. Who the fuck is running the Biden administration if not the deep state? If you think it is Joe Biden, you are as demented as he is.
So I cannot believe how dumb your comment is. You think a movement where the deep state picks who is president and runs the executive branch is going to outlast one where the citizens decide? That is the definition of a Democratic douche.
You are the fucking Nazis who do not believe in citizens not having the right to vote. The last honest Democratic primaries were in 2008 when Obama unexpectedly won.
Trump never told anyone to "March peacefully" on January 6, 2021. I have heard and read the statement where here used the word "peacefully" but in no way was he telling anyone to remain peaceful, to demonstrate peacefully or to March peacefully nor would any of his bloodthirsty cult followers have heard it that way, which he well knew.
Do you have a link to the exact quote of Trump telling anyone to "March peacefully" on that day? If so, please post it.

Not that polls are predictors of POTUS wins anyway, but
The numbers show that in 2016 and 2020 pollsters had been over counting likely Dem voters. Biden's final RealClearPolitics Concensus was +7. 2 points over Trump but the final election result was +4. 5 points. Several big name polling services had Biden a whopping 10 or 11 points ahead of Trump in the final week or two! The final result was less than HALF of that.
https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/president/general/2020/trump-vs-biden
The fact that Biden led Trump in the polls so consistently throughout most of 2020 (and Clinton over Trump in 2016) should have been the tip off that pollsters' typical methodology in those years was way over counting Dems. The Polling services figured that out after the 2020 election.
So, what did they do after the 2020 election when it became clear to them that their methodology was notably over counting Dems in the prior two POTUS election years? They over compensated and have been way over counting Repubs ever since.
Which accounts for why actual Dem election results have been notably out performing their poll numbers vs Repubs over the past few years. And it also accounts for why, this time around, Trump has been polling ahead of Biden and now Harris by a consistent 2-3 points or the outer edge of a normal +/-MoE throughout this election year:
Levy added that SCRI is also taking an extra step to target Trump voters by modeling their sample to include a higher survey quota for people who are considered high-probability Trump voters in rural areas.
If you think of them as M&Ms, lets say the Trump M&M vote is red, Levy said. We have a few extra red M&Ms in the jar.
It is too bad so many nervous Nellie's relied so much on these obviously over counted Trump-voter polls to give so much of a shit about polling results that are not even predictive of POTUS election wins anyway. And therefore to allow themselves to be terrified out of supporting or donating to the highly likely (historically) Dem incumbent winner by that and by typically lazy and pro Repub Mainstream Media only too eager to pound on those poll numbers every hour.
Let's hope they don't allow themselves to be terrified and their votes suppressed by those same factors into lessening their support for the current Dem (likely) candidate and eliminate another historically winning factor or two or three along the way between now and when actual voting begins.

Timeline of Events.
Sunday.
Joe Biden drops out.
Kamala Harris announces campaign with Biden endorsement.
Kamala Harris says she is going to work hard to earn the nomination.
Kamala Harris makes calls to party delegates.
Monday.
Kamala Harris continues making calls to party delegates.
Kamala Harris makes two public speeches.
AP announces Kamala Harris has secured enough delegates to be the Democratic Nominee (Monday night).
Kamala Harris releases this statement, noting she has worked hard to "go out and earn this nomination" as promised (Monday night).
A 24-hour process of talking to party bosses is not democratic, nor is it a process Democrats should be proud of. We do not live in a dictatorship. Delegates are not oligarchs.
Installing Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee and an unknown vice president without any public voting process would make the modern Democratic Party a party of hypocrites.
We call on the.
At DNC.
To create a process that allows for public participation in the nomination process, not just a nomination by party delegates.
And guess who wrote this?
While Joe Biden wasn't our preferred candidate, we cannot ignore the troubling actions of the Democratic Party:
The DNC refused to host debates during the primary, even though a vast majority of Democratic voters wanted them. This would have likely allowed America to see the decline of Joe Biden in 2023.
The DNC changed the primary schedule and created rules that made it almost impossible for non-Biden candidates to appear on the ballot, effectively clearing the field of any challengers to the incumbent president.
Following the primary where millions of voters weighed in, after one poor debate performance, the DNC Party elites and billionaire donors bullied Joe Biden out of the race.
Now, Democratic Party elites and billionaire donors are attempting to manipulate voters by anointing Kamala Harris and an unknown vice president as the new Democratic ticket without a primary vote by the public. This blatant disregard for democratic principles is unacceptable. While the potential outcome of a Harris presidency may be historic, the process to achieve it must align with true democratic values. We have no idea where Kamala Harris stands on the issues, now that she has assumed Joe Biden's place, and we have no idea of the record of her potential vice president because we don't even know who it is yet.
Timeline of Events.
Thursday, July 18:
Dem primary voters, Dem delegates, Dem general election voters, Dem campaign donors both big and small, potential new voter registration Americans and the rest of America just witnessed the Loony America-Hating ChristoFacism Festival of Repub MAGA Lies that finished up with the Grand Finale of their Dear Cult Leader blathering endlessly and incoherently about Hannibal the Cannibal Lector, sharks, how his World's Worst Presdency with the Worst Results of All Time was "great" and how he can't wait to enact economic policies starting on Day One of his 2nd Term that will jack up Inflation, Trigger Massive Jobs Destruction and a Deep Recession or Depression even worse than those he produced with his 1st term policies aimed at creating, among other horrific results, Trump's Pandemic.
Not to take anything away from Kamala Harris. I think she has a Very Good chance of winning in November even if not the Excellent chance of winning that incumbent President Joe Biden possessed.
But it is my belief that the week following that RNC Horror Show would have driven thousands of young people to register to vote, a large crowd at the next Dem POTUS campaign rally and the tens of millions of dollars pledged to support the Dem Party no matter who was at the top of the POTUS ticket. If anything, it might have been even more of all of it if Biden had still remained at the top of the ticket due to his greater known quantity, accomplishments, already articulated plans for a 2nd term and his record in already beating Trump's ass in an election.
Yes, even Abigail Disney would have buckled by now, just 5-6 days after that RNC Horror Show closed and be flooding the Biden / Dem Campaign coffers with Mickey Money.
Meanwhile, the DNC Presidential Primary Delegate system is not the same as, say, a Constitutionally-mandated and -protected government election re individual voters in that primary:
A presidential primary, or presidential preference primary, is typically an indirect election meaning the votes tallied are not directly for the candidate running for president. Rather, the votes are tallied and the state parties award delegates according to these votes and the partys allocation rules. These delegates then vote for their candidate at their partys national convention. The presidential candidate who wins the most delegate votes at their partys national convention will be on the ballot for the general election.
