Posted a while back on me getting out there for the first time ever. Thanks for the tips and those that messaged me. Great info. I'll keep it simple on this question, but I am in the process of booking and wondering which area is ideal for.
1. Comfort.
2. Close to the action.
3. Safe.
4. Girl friendly.
I see options for laureles, el poblado and estadio.
Also, how is the weather in September and October. I see that the cost of travel is significantly lower those months.

Being a first timer, you can RTFF but sometimes it seems the cabbies can get you where you need to be. How open is it out there that you get in a cab and say get me to the best strip joint, bar, place to meet girls etc. ?
Also, I'm pretty laid back and wouldn't mind hanging out at a nice lounge and try my luck with civvies. That will be one of my goals this trip.

The owner is a member of this forum (BBrocs). Just send him a PM and he'll set you up. Hopefully you know a good amount of Spanish or have your own guide to get around because he does not do any hand-holding.
If this is your first time going to Medellin, then I would recommend you stay at Hotel Medellin Plaza. The WILL hold your hand, LOL. Read my post which is a quick overview of the place. Find the Medellin Chica Guide posted by WorldTravel 69 in the Medellin List forum. It has a list of recommended drivers. You are going to have to take the time to dig for it because it gets buried under other posts.

I have been researching the site as well as others in general. I have seen some photos and places that have me think I just might get hooked on this place!
I am hooked on Tijuana but am ready to expand a bit further. Oddly enough living in the midwest depending on the time I go, I can get to Colombia for only about $80 more than I can to San Diego.
I might make this a new favorite if it goes well. Even though I really love the ease and atmosphere of Tijuana.

I found the escorts more friendly and Calle Revolucion is amazing. For living though, Medellin is clearly the winner though I don't know how you're getting tickets for just $80 more than San Diego. For me it was about three times as much plus the extra 8 hours flight time but no matter.
I've had the same experience with FB. It's a waste of time. Many of the girls have no experience and think they can make a quick buck. Half will not show up for a date and they'll expect two or three times as much for crappy performance.
The escort agencies are hit and miss. Most are no better than the girls in the casas or clubs and will cost twice as much. Best bet is to try out an hour and then try taking the best out for a date some time.

I've been to all of these countries and have to agree completely that Ukraine is 1. I just spent two weeks there and am about to go back soon for a month. I would put Colombia / Venezuela higher on the list than certainly Italy and Argentina. But its a pretty decent list for sure.

I actually looked into going the dating site route, but on colombian cupid dot com, they ask for a legit photo I'd. I am not sure about all of that.
I like to mix it up and someone to show me around isn't a bad idea. I want to explore the city as much as I want to explore the girls in it!
If all else fails I can always do the strip club scene.
Like any other method, finding chicas on facebook can be hit or miss. I've had decent success finding a couple of chicas who are not part of the Mansion / FB crew. They are a little less jaded, a little less costosa and a little less"trianed" which can be both good and bad. One or two also had the common sense to realize that they could leverage their contact with me and my friends into fun and profit for them and their friends.
I've found that the best approach with the FB chicas is to begin to establish a bit of connection with brief chats in the months before a visit. Then, a week or two before you travel, speak frankly with them about what you are looking for. A few will be offended but none will be shocked. This isn't the US. Also, if a couple get pissed off at you who cares? Best to find out who is game before you arrive and waste time. I usually am only in MED for a week. I don't have the time or patience to try to date non working girls.
