Honest report from SP. I've been debating whether to post this because some posters here have strong opinions, please don't throw rocks at me.

It took a second to get used it (my instinct was previously to come and go as fast as possible) but then I embraced the culture where it's not a big deal to hang out. So with my first Sao Paulo experience in the books, I really have to say it lives up to the hype. I had exactly one had session in my time there, and everything else was somewhere between decent and spectacular. Even as I write this my balls are begging me to go back. My routine was as follows:

Cafe Photo: Yet another bar, and the one place I absolutely won't return to. I've heard there are two, so for clarity sake I'm referring to the 1515 address. The first strike was them requiring a fingerprint scan to get in, in addition to ID. I wasn't comfortable with it, but I had just wasted 300 R at Bahamas and was frankly desperate for a win. The second strike was the entry, 350 R some portion of which was consumable. The guy at reception told me they had 40 girls working, but unless they were hiding somewhere I'd say it was closer to 20, and neither the volume nor the quality justified the entry fee. Hard pass in the future.

Scandallo: I walked into this place thinking I was just going to sightsee, having already enjoyed many amazing and much better priced clinica experiences. I was wrong. This place is an experience, and an experience I was glad to repeatedly overpay for. In terms of pricing I'd say 800 R is what you should expect to pay, but a few girls that I had a good connection with offered me repeat sessions for less. I also overpaid twice, 1000 R one time and 1500 R another, but both were redheads and both were for anal. In general I got quoted 1000 R a good bit, though only agreed to it those two times. That said I didn't really bother to haggle, if a girl gave me a price I didn't like I just moved on. On future trips I'll definitely make my way back here, though I don't imagine I'll go as often. As great as the experience can be, even a cheap night at Scandallo can run you the same price as 6 or more clinica visits.

So that's it in terms of girls, but I'll close with a few observations that might be useful to newer travelers like myself. Prices for hotels were a lot more than I expected from previous scouting, and I ended up with an Airbnb. It was affordable, but still not cheap. That said I wouldn't waste too much money on lodging, as you really shouldn't be spending much time in it. The only reason I'd consider paying for a high end place is if I had a regular girl I picked up at one of the clubs I wanted to bring back with me, but that's not something you'll know in advance so I'd say don't bother. As far as money goes, definitely don't bring cash and just take it out from the ATMs. Santander Bank is my recommendation as their ATMs have an option to select English, and ATMs in Brazil seem to be quite unreliable so if you get an error message its nice to be able to understand it. Gas station ATMs can also be a good choice, but make sure you don't let them do the currency conversion. My bank converts funds at the market rate, while the ATM tried to use a worse rate and apply a 15% conversion fee. Luckily at most you can decline the fee and it will let your bank process the transaction, though some won't allow you to do this. Lastly some places like Scandallo will let you pay for the girl on a credit card, but keep in mind they will hit you for a 10% fee, so I would say avoid it if possible. That said if you session with a girl or two and a third catches your eye later in the night, its nice to have the option. Sidebar: Unrelated to this forum, but does anyone know the situation in Buenos Aires? The ISG forum points to a separate forum which is a literal ghost town. Never feel the need to apologize of tune your experience narrative to match perceived forum 'expectations'. All opinions and experiences here are personal and highly subjective. For one, I have never found Scandallo to be compelling mongering venue in terms of price, performance, or quality of talent (I rarely see the 9's people keep yapping about. I think maybe the lighting plays tricks with people's judgment).

I was in Argentina about 6 months before covid hit, and had 3 weeks in BA. The scene is very different to what it used to be. Many of the major venues to find freelancers have closed down. You can see how the activity in the Argentina section of this forum has fallen off a cliff too. Its not what it was 15 years ago, although there are still an endless supply of working girls.

So that leaves:

Seeking Arrangement and Tinder. If you have a lot of time on the ground, arguably the best anywhere in the world.

I stuck to stripclubs and escorts, and met 2 different girls from Seeking who were legit.

In general, there are a lot of Paraguayans and Uruguayans that ply their trade there too. I do not know what is in the water in Paraguay, some of the women I have had from there have been ridiculous. The other thing to consider is that the economy is a mess. Thats both good and bad for you as a tourist. Your dollar goes further, but the currency issues often mean that they are just pricing things in dollars anyway so you get no benefit from the exchange rate really. The other massive problem is actually being able to get cash. The ATM's limit what you can draw in local currency, so you really do need to go in with a lot of USD and exchange when you are there. I only went in with about 3 k, and I should have gone in with way more. At the same time the state of the economy has some amazing part timers looking for a bit of extra cash on the side.

My view is that its not great for a short trip unless you are going with people who are well plugged into the circuit as is stands today. If you are looking to spend a month or longer, the longer you stay the better it gets. If you are not a Spanish speaker, a short trip will also be quite tricky.
