No clue about Sofitel BKC.
I haven't tried it, however if I may suggest the following options, (guys please correct me if my info is wrong).
A hotel at the airport (whose owner recently passed away who was called as 'Captain') you can take the lady on the basement of the property, under the reception where there are retail shops and they have a Chinese specialty cuisine restaurant, post which you can take the lift from there itself to your room. (I guess; I haven't tried it) Sorry.
The other option is another five star in the center of Mumbai towards parel, there too one can do the same thing, go take the lift to their first floor coffee shop and post which you can take the lift to the room (I guess here the key card is needed to take the lift to the desired floor).
Tonaib. The main point both these properties are cheaper than Sofitel BKC.
