What bank ATMs are best for withdrawing money if your bank is in the US? Also, are the ATM fees bad? Read about ATM issues (cloning, skimming, ID theft, etc.). Cash exchange rates are good but shop around. ATM fees are high and most ATMs have a 10 K limit. I've never asked a hotel to change cash or advance on a card. Many businesses take credit cards.

Personally over ten years of travelling to PH I have not had anything stolen.

As an aside, I used to be annoyed with the "on-checkout" room check that the hotels do counting pillows and coffee bags or whatever. They have also found my forgotten things like phone chargers, tooth brush.

Ok, so Business Class airfare booked on PAL; got a decent price after the fuel price surge faded away. I'll start in Malate / Ermita, then take a bus to AC, then return to P Burgos for my final week. After researching over 50 hotels (yes, I am that anal, sadly) I've got these 3 on my radar:

Malate / Ermita: Sunny Bay Suites.

AC / Feilds: Orchard Inn Resort (not Wild Orchard).

P Burgos: Makati Palace Hotel.

All priced at $60-70/ night for decent room, which is well within my hotel budget. All are guest friendly, as far as I can tell, but are they really? All have the dates I want open and available for booking online.

Once I'm in each location, I'll enter hunter / gatherer mode and see how much fun I can have. Acquistion targets include Bar Fine girls, FL's, and I'll dabble with Apps as well once in-country.

Anyone see any red or yellow flags in my lodging selections?

Always appreciate your feedback and opinions.

I expect to generate at least one FR for each area.

This time I managed to get atleast 5 good contacts in manila and cebu using Filipinocupid. My trip in Phili is 13-22 then Indonesia before heading back to home Melbourne through bali.

I clearly mention the below in the profle.

* I won't transfer money before meetup.

* I am not looking for marriage.

* Will share photos only in whatsapp due to privacy reasons.

I always ask them to read the profile before asking questions in whatsapp. So far it has helped removing lot of fuss and dramas.

Only the time will tell after the trip. Having said that I have only had good experiences with the above approach in Indonesia.
