Been reading up through the last half dozen pages in preparation for my first visit to Warsaw the week of May 11th. So it looks like odloty is a good place to start, as someone mentioned previously. I was wondering about how this works. For the hourly rate, do you show up and pay up front? Do you need to tip on top of that?
Would the girls be willing to come to my hotel (a Marriott or similar) instead of me trying to find an address where I speak not one lick of Polish?

Could anyone please recommend any budget apartments in Warsaw? I need a place for 2 (myself and a girl) but it doesn't have to be fancy, just a cheap small 'okay' type of apartment but not too far from the centre.

Prices on websites I've found started from 40 Euro and I will be on a LT (1 year) travel budget... something more at the USD 30-40 range, possibly more 'regular' type of accommodation used by locals rather than serviced apartments for tourists?

I can't help you with Warsaw as with Krakow, but you can try to search the web more extensively. I was lucky to find this agency in Krakow:

As you can see, long term stays will only cost you. Maybe 50 or even 40 zloty pr day and they are really nice and even fancy

I'm sure that this can be found in warsaw as well

Otherwise I will give you advise to send mail to some of those tourist minded agencies and ask them if they can give you a "special" price for long term stay. I'm sure that some can, if you write e-mails to many.

A good effort in searching the net is typing NOCLEGI. For example warsaw- or warszawa noclegi. This site is one of many many that comes up:

This agency obviously have apartemets for 80 zloty pr day if you stay longer than two weeks. And prices are to negotiate it says in polish

Try to search with noclegi on google. I ve only done it little bit. There is much more sites to be found

The conclusion is that when somebody types wasraw apartments. You are directed to the expensive tourist traps. But searching the "local" way is typing forexample noclegi and typing warszawa. Not "warsaw" like all tourists do

If I was you I would negotiate alot. You are in a position where you can really push the price down verry much. In any kind of agency. Just write them an e-mail: I want one year special price, what can you offer me.
