Not padding his back, I / We all understand you can find steak at other location but the question was and still is, since you never and I have never been to Spasso if you ever went to a place like this can you use your standand to obtain a lady for the night not 3 hours? Not padding his back again, as far as he was concern he was looking for a high end piece of meat and he went to Ruth Chris (Spasso) not around the corner to Sleazlers.
LOL. Sleazlers? I thought it was Sizzler?
4000 baht isn't a minimum when rent is due and there aren't enough punters around willing to pay those prices. Once people get that into their heads things change real fast.
The end of the month is GREAT! Rent due on the 4th for most gals. Late on the 5th. This weekend. WOO HOO!
Might be a stupid question, but whats the difference between Oil and Lotion Massage? Which is better? .
Try each one and you will have your answer!
Oil feels better to me, but, being a hairy monkey, it is harder to remove. I generally ask to have my back washed in the shower by the masseuse.
Lotion washes straight off, has vitamin e and smells good, but dries out quite quickly and doesn't have the smooth feel of oil.
If we are talking about a rub and tug joint, take your own massage jel designed for sex play. A ball massage with that is quite amazing if done by a pro.
I think your analogy doesn't work and here's why – I live in a city where I can get excellent food- especially steaks. I only buy aged prime which is expensive but readily available and because it is always exactly the same, consistently excellent! That's what I want in asteak – the same every time. Women though should not be all the same all the time. That undesireable trait in a steak is exactly what I'm looking for in a Thai lady. Something new! Its easy to find the same slam bang little monkey with no emotions no English, etc. And that's fine ocassionally (and better in bunches) but variety is why we're all here. We could all be married (most anyway) banging the same cooch over and over but that would be hell. Maybe he finds some qualities in the women he meets in Spassos that he does not see on the street in Nana (go figure) and maybe any number of things but in the end its his time and his money. A lot of us have made our money already so to suggest that he will regret it the next night I believe is not accurate. I AM CERTAIN he's never looking back at that C-Note.
I'd agree that if the guy had a great night he won't ever regret it, but the analogy still holds some water. In Bangkok, try hunting down Uncle John's. It's a hole in the wall run by the former chef at the Sukhothai. The food is 100% 5 star, and the prices are 100% 3 star. While I agree 100% on variety with the girls, I really don't think that one is guaranteed better quality at Spassos. Women with kids asking 4000? Most Thai guys would laugh their asses off. As one Thai guy once told me,"we'd never pay to screw a woman with a kid, we pay for a really hot young lady with a fantastic body." (not that there don't exist those who have kids and still look gorgeous). How many long term expats end up pulling regularly from Soi 33? I would reckon well under 5. The reason being that they presumably know that most of the girls working there are not well educated white skinned northern or Bangkok girls that they are paying top dollar for. No, the majority are the same girls you find in Nana and Cowboy wearing fancy cocktail dresses. You want the cocktail dress, buy it yourself and get the girl to wear it in the room.
This whole thread reminds me of going into a disco one night with a very handsome friend of mine, and having two girls come running over and more or less throw themselves at us. However, the minute I started speaking Thai, my gal looked at me with this horrified look. We pretty quickly cut out the BS and she told me that she normally pulled guys for 4-5000 baht. I told her that I normally pulled girls for 1000 baht. She told me that was because I lived here. And she gave me this vicious smile and said,"and most guys don't even know I've had a kid!" Everyone is free to blow their hard earned cash any way they want to, but for those who live here, it is extremely annoying listening to girls (whose services in most cases never live up to those who aren't complaining) complain about how they should be getting 2-3000 baht because that is what Joe Shmoe paid her and she now expects 2-3000 baht every time.
Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
You are certainly doing the right thing by reading the forum.
If you found a Thai nightlife guide who was actually in that business, IMO, your chances of being ripped off would become highly likely.
Post again in the Travel Plans and Announcements thread and maybe you could get an ISG wingman.
Also if you stayed at Livingstones Lodge, Giotto might give some good tips. I have not done that but read a great report when he took several ISG guys out on the town.
Don't forget to write your reports.

LBM
Keeping the steak example, I have to say that in a recent trip to the States with friends we went to a few steak houses, different qualities, still all in the medium-high end.
I knew Ruth Chris before and I knew that by taking the friends there I would score their appreciation. Exactly: we had great steaks, at a lower price than Ruth' but, not comparable to Ruth.
One than has to decide whether he handle the alternative to Ruth, but it is his own choice. There are, stll more expensive options than Ruth, I have been there and one could spot the difference there too.
Even we talk about a juicy piece of meat in all the places.

Still talking about juicy meat (with no real offence) , some pimps do the same. But usually the meat his less juicy when they pump it up too much
Have you tried Morton's? They actually bring the pre cooked meat to your table and you choose what you want. A step better than Ruth C. From my experience.
Thats new to me. You sure about that?
Thats new to me. You sure about that?
Morton's Steak House. I just went to the one in Palm Springs 2 weeks ago. They rolled out a raw meat cart so you could make your choice.
