I've been visiting Kiev for some years now and although only visiting stripclubs (I don't want to hassle with the Mamba "gamble", so my experience only applies to clubs), I've seen the prices fluctuate quite a bit.

Yes, the last year the prices went up considerably, but do remember that because the country is at war and the economy isn't doing that great, the differences between poor and rich get bigger and bigger.

The stripclubs are becoming not emptier, but attract even more people and most of them aren't westerners, but rich people from Ukraine themselves. I don't see that much foreigners anymore.

One could say that those guys are used to paying much less at a stripclub outside Kiev where they came from, and whilst this is true, do remember the Eastern European mentality. They are from "outside" Kiev, so as they normally like to show off, this is an even extra stimulant.

I am on a three weeks trip to Kiev. Was short notice so didn't have time to do much research. Asking for help finding a reliable agency or a lady that speaks English as my Russian is very rusty.

Tried most of the agency's listed here as well as several I found online and Backpage. I know BP is a gamble. None of the ladies that claimed the spoke English did. The ratio of men to women on *ladies night* at Shooters was about 5 to 1 as far as I could tell. With friends who counted more generously but I counted no more than 10 women to the 80 men on the side away from the dance floor. Probably more girls on the dance floor.

One beautiful girl ran the gauntlet of Turks with a full "the Scream" look on her face. She was with a young handsome European guy about 25 who would do absolutely fine in New York or LA. And you could tell she felt lucky. I stayed for one drink and had to bail the hell out of there. On my way out a Turkish guy was trying to literally and physically grab a girl and she saw him coming and did a two step run away and slammed right into my chest. She didn't look just took a dash when she saw the guy coming.

The highlight of my night was getting to McDonald's where they had no fries.

There was a lot of police presence but not on foot. Suddenly there is a fleet of Toyota Prius' going around with flashing lights. At night on Kreschatik you can't walk without having at least four police cars in visual range with flashing lights. I don't know if that is good or bad. For tourists police presence is kind of good unless the police want to talk to you then it's very bad.

I got kind of creeped out for the first time ever in Kiev, I didn't feel OK on the street and if I want to sit in a room with 100 guys from Turkey I can go to Istanbul (no offense really to guys from Turkey, it's just that I like to come here to meet Ukrainian girls and because you guys move in a huge wave and flush all the girls away in front of you, you kind of ruin the whole thing. The girls are not into the aggressiveness and the lack of respect and the same thing always happens.
