We talked I thought she is nice OK I take her to a motel in Vidigal, I paid her money, and then she also asked me money for the taxi, I said we only fixed an amount but I said I can give you the money for the taxi later she said no I want now I said OK and then she told me I have to wait in the room because she needs to go downstairs to smoke I said OK but leave your bag here she said no I have to smoke but I will come back I said give my money when you come back I give your money back she said no I became crazy she tried to go out of the room but I stopped her from going out I closed the door she start shouting, I became crazier I stabbed her with my keys I used scissors to cut her hair and her bag I punched her face many times damn it was so good I succeeded in getting my money back from her bag and then the police came they said what happened, I said she tried to rob me and she wanted to attack me so I defended myself, the police arrested me they took me to the police station and they let me out after 2 hours.

Finally I did not pay any money, but I can't go to Mabs anymore I'm sure this girl knows many people there.

Conclusion: there is law that protects women in Brazil but also a law that protects gringos from people that try to rob, the law in Brazil doesn't protect the working girls because they are not recognized but prostitution is not illegal, they are only protected from their friends and doormen. That's why always take the girl away from the place she works.

It looks like you opted to defend yourself against a ne-er-do-well, and good on you for that. Something kind of similar happened to a friend of mine 2 days ago, but he opted to get robbed because he is a frequent visitor, and he feared unforeseen repercussions. It was completely obscene behavior on the part of the ne-er-do-well in his case as well.

What's the point to take the metro to Central and then change to the Supervia train to São Cristovão when you're going to VM? It would be much easier to just continue with the metro all the way to the São Cristovão metro station.

So I think it is wise not to carry any kind of weapon, even scissors.

When I pick up a GDP in MABS, I go to next door hotel LIDO, and if she starts arguing and / or demanding money upfront, the rule is to immediately walk back to MABS with a damage 120 reais for the room. To be honest, I happen not to follow the rule and the session was so-so, but in that case I know I am the only one to be blamed.

You have a lot to learn if you think that the police doesn't care about gringos who beat up brazilian women. Made me remember a french guy living in Bahia. He got jealous and gave his GF a black-eye. By chance I was speaking to the delegado at the police station when the girl and her friend told the police about the beating. The delegado got furious and sent three PMs who gave the gringo a beating he'll never forget.

Your worst concern should be if the locals get pissed at you for beating the girl. In best case scenario you'll end up at Copa D'Or. Go to VM and beat up some more girls and see what happens. The next day they'll serve you on the churrasco sticks they sell on the street.
