Average is 500 gr. 20 euro.

Remember the times when travel was easy and you were sure about it. Now, I have upcoming break and can stay for an extended time in Kiev mostly paid for by my employer. However, I don't really know if I want to make the trip. Is it still worth it?

What do I get from going there? Some temporary fun, but even then it won't be as much fun. Can't speak the language and find Ukrainian humor really irritating. Maybe one last time?

Kyiv is much quiet in summer months as most locals leave the city for the country, also mostly the students are gone, but don't let that put you off, still plenty of girls / women wandering around. I'm an English guitar player and have tapped into the bohemian / intellectual types in Kiev in the podil area, where rockabilly / country / blues are just now being embraced, I can't even sit in a little cafe in podil playing guitar without some pretty young student presenting me with a sketch she or her friends have done of me.

Someone posted a few weeks ago that they'd visited Shooters Bar but were chagrined at the high amount of men to women ratio, including the overflow of Turkish / Arabic men. Living here in Kiev on and off for the past few years (before and after the revolution) I've come in contact with a lot of girls who look for sponsors on occasion. I asked a lot of them recently where they go to meet men. Many of them said they prefer the internet and almost all of them said they once went to Shooters but now avoid it like the plague and prefer other places as they hate the attention they get from the aforementioned men. Now before people start jumping down my throat, these are not my words but theirs. I did ask 12 girls that I know and all but one said the same thing (the one said she never visits clubs for these reasons). I debated whether or not to publish this information on this forum because of attacks I might receive but in the end thought it worth noting.
