I started visiting AC more than 20 years ago and it was ALWAYS in the deal that the barfine you paid included the fuck money for the girl. This made AC different from Burgos and the long-closed and much-missed bars on Roxas such as Vixens. The AC barfine then was for LT, BTW. A few years later a new variable arose; would the girl stay ST or LT? Smart punters soon learnt this was decided in the conversation you'd have with her in the bar. Perhaps things have changed for the worse so it behooves a discerning fella to suss out a girl's acceptance of standard practices even before he buys her a drink. My favorite destinations in Asia are BKK, Pattaya, Jakarta, Singapore, Phnom Penh, Macau, AC, Barrio Barretto, and Manila in no particular order. Medellin, Sao Paulo, and Rio are old favorites of mine in South America, but I prefer Asia. Africa? No thank you, although I have heard good things about Madagascar and I always thought Ethiopian girls are pretty hot.

I had one girl I liked and her friends were cool. Kept everyone laughing.

However, places come and go (ShaTsui in Shenzhen, ZhuHai, ChangPing etc). The 3000-4000 girls in 8 or so blocks in ShaTsui and the excesses of ChangPing may never return.

New destinations arise out of the ashes like a Phoenix. Already some new places are starting to develop, and they do have Flower Streets, although these days they tend to bring the girls out in batches of 10-12 at a time.

There are also fairly regular (maybe annual) crackdowns at many places which usually slow the BBS action for a couple of months. Interestingly, the latest great crackdown never really impacted Shanghai!

I have lived in Shenzhen for a number of years (totalling 8 years over a 14 year period) and keenly watch the developments in South China. The prices have gone up (but still cheap), and the action is still there for those who do their research.

IMHO, South China should be on everyones' bucket list.
