Outstanding report. I can picture the scene as I lived there for 5 years and still return every month or so.

I was in Burgos on New years day after Y2K. Jan 1st 2000 when no one knew if anything would work. Makati Ave and Ayala Ave were totally blocked as there had been a huge street party. And no taxis anywhere. Had to walk from New World Hotel to Burgos. And the bars were open but no guests in any of them. Some bars were in darkness as the staff had heard a rumour that there was no power from the Y2K thing. There was power everywhere but they preferred rumours to reality Anyways spent a happy 4 hours in Dimples with 10 girls and no guests cept me and another 2 hours in Foxys. Where I was dancing with the girls on the stage. Funny memory. They kept me well entertained. But Philippines in a dramatic moment. Theres no place like it.

Just got back from a few days (or rather nights) in Burgos. Stayed at the Oxford Suites right in the middle of the action, but quiet and fairly peaceful inside the hotel. By the way, nice, well appointed rooms with good, friendly service form all the staff. Also totally GF.

As for the bars. As you all report, they can be very hit and miss depending on the evening and staff and mood--with prices way too high (Ladies drinks P350, BF P3000, then normally P3000 for the girl. Makes for an expensive evening!

My personal favorites:

Rogues to start the evening, has pool tables, a bit of a sports bar feel, friendly gals, not too much 'buy me a drink' pressure, and best of all Happy Hour until 10pm with P150 ladies drinks.

Bottoms and Dimples for randy, playful girls who will happily give you BBBJ in the VIP booth, for simply the price of keeping them in drinks.

Flamingo for the revolving dance floor, carousel horses the gals enjoy sitting on and the active vibe (at least when I was there).

Stardust and Jools (same owner I think) for the floor shows, usually at 10: 30pm, then every hour until 2am. Great shows with the good rock covers, sexy costumes, and lively, energetic, well-choreographed dance routines by the gals. Worth seeing.

Went to Burgos te get some vitamine blue which is freely offered by the touts when walking down the street.

The first asked for 1,500 pesos and knowing that the market price is around the 300 mark I just send him away which made him dropping to 1,000 whcih is still carzy. I find it ridiculous when they start way beyond market price. Got it from the next tout for 300 pesos for a pack with 4 x 100 mg.

Here some tips for the deal:

- let him open the box for you to inspect the content

(from comparing the Burgos Viagra with this homepage makes me believing that the chance of having the real are in the higher percentage - anyway, you never know but as long as it works and I don't drop dead what the hack)

- Have the exact change otherwise they suddenly come up with any reason not being able to change and want to give you additional stash instead

- Had only 1,000 pesos note: hold on to the stash and your money. Let him give the change first before you release your money

The deal was a matter of less than a minute but it's surprising how many other touts (5-7) were surrounding us within seconds. My tout didn't have the change, so another tout changed the money for him. Be careful, they are a gang and stick together. Don't get irritated by the fact that the others immediately try to sell you their products while you are doing the deal.

By the way, was in Burgos last time a few years ago and was shocked how it has deteriorated. Reading that they have increased prices made my decision quick even not to bother to check the bars. There are so many other much nicer places in Manila which are also more reasonable priced.

Firstly, do not haggle, when he says 1000 or what ever just say "No, 300".
They realise you know the street price & immediately agree.

Secondly, what they are selling is generic V or C manufactured in Pakistan/India. It is chemically the same drug & I can testify that it does the same job. ;)

Maybe they know my face there, but I always stock up when Im there & have no trouble buying at 250 - 300p.

Contrary to the past few posts on Viagra, do not buy it from the street vendors. The reason why they sell them for so cheap is because they are not real. Think about it. On Burgos, you can get it for 300 pesos, but right around the corner at the nearest pharmacy, it can cost way more.

There was a sting operation about a month ago on Burgos St. The local news covered it and the police took all those guys in to the police station and had them arrested. Since I live very close to Burgos, it was very surreal seeing all those familiar faces. The police said all the pills were fake. The arrested party also admited it was fake. When asked why they sold them, they replied, "It's easier to sell them than the watches".

What's even more scarier is that although some pills were harmless (sugarpills, aspirin, etc.) they found that other pills were actually expired prescription drugs and can be lethal and dangerous. Remember, these guys are not the highest of moral characters that are selling these products. They know all of this, and still pushing these fakes.

Just think about it. Why even risk your health and life, spend the extra $$$ and buy it from a pharmacy.

For the person that thinks this is real. It's all in your "head". No pun intended.

Actually, was there with a buddy, who was in the same booth with a gal. From what I could see (and hear) he was definitely getting the same enthusiastic treatment that I was! Wanted to report on a nice story which I am in the middle of right now, and keen to hear your views as to whether this is a "common" type of story for Makati or rather something I should be really enjoying as a "one-off" kind of experience. In Indonesia -- the scene I am most familiar with, this kind of experience is very common but not being very familiar with the Manila/Makati scene, keen to hear feedback.

About 5 weeks ago I came to Makati for a business trip for about 3 days. One evening I went to Greenbelt 3's Cafe Havana about 11pm or so on my own and, after having a few drinks inside and dancing to the tune of the salsa live band, a girl (28yo, gorgeous body, so-so face) came to me, showed her interest and we started dancing together. One thing led to another and we went back to my hotel for some delightful GFE boum-boum all night. She came to my hotel the following night, same GFE deal. No money asked, nothing, pure GFE and sex -- ideal for people like us. Now I am back in makati for a couple of days and she came over to my hotel last night, we had a pleasant buffet dinner together and then spent the night together as if we were BF/GF.
This girl has worked in a daycare centre in Australia for 3 years. As most of us mongers will tell you that the girls want money or a ticket out of Philippines. Some of the girls are very inteligent and take there time in getting you hooked over time where they can eventually dig into your bank account. However there are those acceptions and I had one and hopefully maybe you did too. I met a woman at a place called the wine shop in cebu sometime back. She was I found out upper class and well off with businesses of her own. She was 38 half Chinese/filopina and extremely attractive. We had dinner and hooked up later in my hotel for the night which she was always aware if she ran into anyone that would hurt her social staus. Anyway I corresponded and saw her numerous times and we slept had fun and enjoyed our time together. No money and if anything she paid half the time. Time and disance kept us stop communicating. But yes this is rare but possible in the Philippines.

It happens more often than you think. I was introduced to a 19 year-old nursing student a few years ago, now we get together every time I'm in town. We enjoy each others' company and no money exchage hands.

I lived in Makati for 5 years and left about 4 years ago. During my time there I had a good assortment of teachers, doctors, secretaries and others. All were free. But the best part is that I keep going back there. Say every 2 months. And before I go, I arrange with whoever I see on my phone book, or yahoo messenger etc. I always arrange afternoon meetings. He also picked up a girl from Cafe Havana and took her back to the hotel. What makes this funny is we told him that most girls there are working and he said that he wasn't going to pay for sex. Long story short, he found a girl and thought they just hooked up and the next morning he called us to come and help him.

Seems he woke up and she was dressed and asked him for 5000P and he freaked. He got her down to 3000P and went for his wallet and it was empty. She took his money sometime during the night. So we call the hotel security and when she heard that, she got naked again and jumped back into bed, so the hotel security guard would see that she had either had sex or spent the night (still not sure why she did it). Security finally got her out of the room, but it was a big mess.

We had a lot of fun the next week teasing him about his free sex:D

I can also attest to this being possible and somewhat common.

I met a girl at LA Cafe and she came with me for no money. (I had specified this before we left, after having had a nice interaction with her.) Of course I paid for meals, but she was very good about not abusing this. We really felt comfortable with each other, and I'm pretty sure she enjoyed the sex more than I did.

I think this happens if you've got the right chemistry with someone, and they are not desperate for the money.

I met a girl at LA Cafe, and we had a nice interaction. After about 5 or 10 minutes, I asked her if she liked me enough to go for free, and she said yes.

I've spent lots of time with her, and she's great. We have great chemistry, and she's not desperate for money, so that's probably a major factor. I think she enjoys the sex more than I do (another major factor).
