Bares, discos and night clubes closed in Fortaleza
I was in Fortaleza last week. It was horrible, zero mongering scene.
Now it is a normally city for families. Iracema is dead. Zipi is closed, Pirata is open but now it is a restaurant with music. Forro Mambo is closed, Orbita is closed, Armazen is opened only Wednesday but with a few few people. Rate for sex 200 max 250 reais. Nobody know speak English there. I do not recommend Fortaleza to anyone.
Unfortunately, this has been the viewpoint and posture of the Governo and Prefeitura Municipal de Fortaleza, for some time now. Hence why the Fortaleza thread has dried up somewhat.
BW, specifically can you report on the "closer" or still "open" status of Armazem and / or Zipi Bar?
The thing about google maps / pics / street view, while helpful, you just can't beat "boots-on-the-ground".
From Google maps it's not clear Zipi Bar / Forro Mombo are permanently closed.
Last I knew of, Armazem (on Wednesdays) wasn't a totally, full-on sex p4p joint and Zipi Bar and Forro Mombo seem to be last men standing. Armazem still looks like its in operation, while a few doors down, Orbita Bar is temporarily closed.
.
End of Days for Fortaleza?

Thanks for the update and intel on the current club openings and closings in Fortaleza. Much appreciated.
This was a thriving P4P destination at one time. Hard to believe the P4P scene in Fortaleza has dropped off, this much. Let's hope it just COVID related and things will pickup again. Unless that is, the Governo and Prefeitura Municipal de Fortaleza, have really blown things up, with regards to the P4P scene, for good?
Was hoping to re-visit, Fortaleza, for the P4P action and a bit of nostalgia. But it looks like I may need to re-think the P4P part of the plan.
Visit Fortaleza for the Nuts?
Fortaleza fell off years and years ago. When I first started going to Brazil, I had it on my short list as a place to visit. But then the mongering scene really tanked. I think they got some female politician who shut it down.
While, Luizianne Lins, hasn't been mayor since December 2012, the effects of that mayoralty has taken its effect.
It would seem, Roberto Cláudio (2013-2020), succeeded her and cleaned up nicely, behind her. I'm just mildly shocked, that ALL venues are now (reportedly) gone, dead, kaput and shutdown permanently.
Fortaleza was one of my favorite P4P destinations. Won't be the same somehow, but I guess there's always good friends, great beaches, dunes, cashew nuts (castanhas) and great seafood to be had, as reasons to still visit.
I am flying there in a week or so. I will report. It seems the local mongering board is active:

But mostly Clnicas and Privs.
Thanks, I Look forward to your intel. Hopefully, it's just down to the nuts and beaches...kkk
