I think I found a way for this map to work for everyone.:)

For those members with a gmail account can simply save the map as their own. From there it's quite simple to edit the info already there and add new markers to the map. Any info updated will be visible for everyone. Fantastic!

For those who don't have a gmail account its a simple process to create a "spare-account" It takes maximum 5 minutes to complete.

Hopefully there are more members out there keen on the idea.:) and that will help make this Bali map become as good as (or even better!!) the Bangkok map that can be found in the Bangkok forum.

Having read so much about the Nusa Dua brothels I decided to pay the place a visit with my mongering pal Phantomtiger today. We each had motobikes so not a problem for us.
The travel directions posted before to get here are very good and accurate. The only thing I can add is that coming from Kuta or Sanur on the Bypass road, the big Yamaha sign will be on your right. Once you pass the sign you need to make an immediate U-turn, there will be a U-turn access on your right about 100m past the Yamaha sign. Having made the U-turn, immediately go to the left lane and proceed uphill on the small st just before the Yamaha sign. Note: if you reach the sign itself then you have gone too far as the brothels are on the street just BEFORE the sign.

We entered several of The brothels and they are in dreadful conditions, full of garbage and funky smell. Don't think sanitation is on the top of the list. To my surprise PhantomTiger can speak a little of the local lingo so I let PT negotiate for the 2 of us as he speaks a little bit of Indo (he said he practiced very basic stuff like numbers, hello, too expensive etc.)
Not sure how many houses are open at night but during the daytime when we were there, 6 houses were open. Saw about 10 ladies here and only 1 was doable in my eyes, the rest were just plain ugly or very much out of shape. PT tried to negotiate a good price for me for the doable one but after a few minutes he pointed to our bikes and said to get the hell out of here.

He said later that they were trying to rip us off bigtime. I thought PT was joking as I didn't feel anything was wrong at the moment. He said to just go and he'll explain later.

He told me later that he knew exactly how much the going rate for the locals for using the ND brothels. Since he had arrived 1 day earlier than me in Bali he was able to recon areas and ask many questions with the locals who he had befriended (with drinks and food).
He told me some of the locals had tried the ND houses before but many don't go here as even they don't like to travel so far for sex when other places are available closer to their home. I have to agree here as we were both staying in Semimyak that it took us about 45min each way to get there.
PT said that locals going there only pay $3 for a quick bonk and max of $5 for the occasional above avg looker and they don't pay tips. He said locals who want to use condoms should bring their own or lady will charge 5000r for a condom. Many locals who go here do the deed raw and do not use condoms at all to save the 5000r.
PT said all the ugly and fat ladies wanted $10 and for 20min only. The one I had my eye on wanted $20 for 30min. For instance after reading your account of the "garbage and funky smell", I know I never plan to set foot in any of those houses. But other mongers may have more of a sense of adventure - who knows?

Yes, they are that blatant about differential pricing! Same with bargaining for carpets, or gemstones or even fish in the market - practically anywhere in the world. If you're not an "insider", then you pay a premium.

Again - your dick . . . your money . . . your decision - so you can't make a wrong choice when you are on a pussy-pounding pursuit of a holiday. But still, unless $10 or $15 is a seriously big amount of money for your budget, it seems like self-punishment to walk away from pussy hot enough to negotiate for over only that price-difference. I will guess that where-ever you live and work, the price of pussy is maybe ten-times that price-difference, right ? Ok, guys let me jump in on this discussion since it was my idea to come here and not Sharks.
1) it was I who wanted to visit the flea pit in the 1st place and I dragged Sharka along for the ride as my wingman. Call it an exploratory search/ or a curious outing to see for myself what this place is like, so call it time well spent.
2) traveling here was a bit out of the way but we also did it for the fun of it and to scope out new locations and take in the sights of all the huge 5 star hotels and beaches in ND so not really a "wasted ride" as you put it. The flea pit was just along the way to some nice ND beaches which we spend some time swimming in. If you read my old posts, sometimes I'll go out of the way to locate new places or confirm reports or rumors for you guys here.
3) the day was still early afternoon so not really leaving empty handed at the flea pits as we were just examining the goods early on and still have plenty of time to get a few beers, wait for late afternoon/early evening then really going out hunting. Lets just say its like going to a store early, not finding anything you like at a reasonable price and spending the exact same money elsewhere for much better goods at another store. It would've been nice to get some early but, Remember, you don't have to always buy at the 1st store you see.
4) As for the money issue, its not the matter of the price being $15 or $20, its the matter of overinflated prices in a place that 's only worth a few bucks at best. It's the principle of what you are getting for your money, I'm certainly not going to spend top dollar-(in Indo prices) for an avg looker in a dumpster house. Again, remember I'm a veteran of Cambodia for many years and I'm no stranger to all the foul smelling dirty bed sheets and believe me even when I know I can't get local cheap prices, I would never pay more than 50% or at most 100% (or double the going rate). Anything over double the going rate is a rip off -IMO, but at least in Cambo, if I'm spending $3-5 for a f**k, at least I know what I'm getting.
3) I do agree, we sometimes have to pay a Premium, but a premium don't have to mean overpaying by several times the rate for low end goods in a dump.
But I know for the same rates they were charging I was going to have better time later. I would only be tempted to take one at the flea pit if I thought this was the ONLY game in town, but I knew this was not the case.
4) Don't worry, for the price of the flea pits, we got gals not much later that day for the same prices ($15-20) that were 2x slimmer, and many times cuter than any found at the flea pit (including the only "doable one" that Shark had consider doing), but remember this, when you line up the "doable one" next to all the ugly/ fat ones at the flea pit- she somehow looked much better than she should, but even Shark said later when you put the doable one next to all the showroom/ fishbowl young asses we saw later-it was no comparison.
5) Shark had mentioned I had gotten some insight from a local I met at my beachhouse a day earlier. He was shocked with ?????? looks on his face when I told him outsiders had taken gals at the ND flea pits. He couldn't image why as he knew foreigners were going to get ripped off here and that's only if we were even welcome to these places. He said if he had $10-15 for a gal-which is a high price for him, he won't go to local brothels either -like the flea pit, as he said all the cute ones are generally left for us "tourist".
6)Now a word of caution; This local I met lives nearby in Denpensar and he said there are many local brothels that cater strictly to local men only and we are NOT welcome at these places. Also, some of these places are guarded/ looked over by thugs and you could be in serious trouble if you even accidently venture into them. He said he and his local friends generally pay $3-4 on avg for a bonk. The gals at these places also give the local men raw sex as the men don't like paying extra for the condoms.

In conclusion, Nusa Dua was interesting and worth a look if you happen to be on the way to the beaches here but for the prices they charge, its a better deal elsewhere.
