Best is to be defensive. Cash, jewellery, electronics, smartphones, computers. To be kept of sight, stored and secured in suitcase or locked storage.

Otherwise why bother, the chances for recovery are non existent.

I was in Kiev a few weeks ago. First time in several years. Nice to be back. Was especially inspired by the Euromaiden memorial.

I go to Club Rio, first time, I'd heard it was the closest thing to a River Palace.

Ugh.

The Context. I'm early 40's, live in NYC, european, non-smoker, clean-shaven. Know my way around a strip club. Was actually a strip club bartender for a while.

The good. Quality decorations, barstaff / doorman very polite / professional. Some hotties there. Although nothing special compared to a standard western higher end club.

The bad.

I was there early, and there ratio of girls to customers was pretty close to 1-to-1. But it was virtually impossible to get a dance with a girl. They would come out, twirl around for a song, and then go into the back room. No opportunity to interact, or test the chemistry / personality. I think the intent is that you only get a girl by asking the doorman.

Over the course of about 2-3 hours...

First girl, chatted for a few minutes. I asked to go for a dance. She said she would be right back. She doesn't come back.

Second girl, chatted for a moment. Went for a couple of dances. Good mileage, not great. I asked about takeout and she said she doesn't do that.

Third girl, chatted for a few minutes. I asked to go for a dance. She said she would be right back. She doesn't come back.

Now I'm fed up, so I get up to leave and on my way out I express my frustration to the main doorman. What, I say, you don't want money here? He seems genuinely surprised, asks which girl I wanted, I tell him the 1st and 3rd who had left and not come back. He goes and finds the first, brings her over.

We sit awkwardly. I ask for a dance. She perks up, and says she has to go and see when the one of the rooms are available. Turns out there are only 3-4 rooms in this club (About 10 minutes later she comes back, we go to a room, I get a couple of dances.

Mileage is average. But I'm horny. I ask for takeout. She doesn't do that, she says (Argh). I ask her if she can find me a girl who does do takeout. She says sure. I wait in bar, and after 15 minutes she brings over a slender eurasian type girl. (I think her name as Alaya or something)

3. -For crying out loud, do not overpay!. The moment you label yourself as a walking ATM, that is all she will see in you. You are guaranteed that you will not get any good sex.

Each country has its own specifics. Ukraine is not Thailand and never will be Thailand. Striptease clubs in Ukraine for foreigners it is a waste of money. If you come to Ukraine for sex there is no reason to go to a strip club. You lose a lot of money. Much better bang for the this money pretty Romanian or Bulgarian prostitute somewhere in Berlin or Madrid.

These clubs are forced to pay police. Prokurature etc. Therefore they can not be cheap-large sums of money needed to corrupt.

Also in Kiev has an internal prostitution market for businessmen and corrupt politicians. Prices for sex can be up to $ 1,500 for sex. Moreover, it is of the guys on the other mentality. Count money it is humiliating for them. Instead of 1 000 dollars they can give 2 or 3000 in a drunken state. Some of them are buy for working girls expensive cars and even apartments. These guys do not pay taxes. These stealing millions of dollars from the state budget.

They behave like a Colombian drug lords.

So some beautiful girls 9/10 in Kiev a little corrupt big money and gift these, Colombian guys, and believe the Americans and Europeans greedy and mean and boring. There is a problem.
