Animal proteins and fats are good for you and do not cause abnormal blood lipids (excess carbohydrates do). The fats in the diet are also very satiating, meaning less food will be consumed.

2. Rice and beans form a complete protein. One could live exclusively on this diet and be healthy.

3. Typical Colombian walks 5-6 miles per day.

1) Which places to stay would you recommend? Was looking into Central Plaza Hotel, looks nice, seems good value for money, but a little far from where the action is. Any experience with Four Points by Sheraton, since I got a great offer there (but is it girl friendly if I book a double room? What are your recent experience with private places (via airbnb, etc.)?

Just got back from Colombia, I am suffering from the Post Vacation blues. Can't wait to go back soon. I was there for 2.5 weeks, and while I was there, I went to Cali, Cartagena, Gutape and hacienda Napoles. My trip wasn't only for mongering, it was to explore, take photos, visit my Colombian friends. This is my 4th trip, 2008 was my last time when I was in Medellin so its been a while.

About myself and the type of women I like: I am from Los Angeles, 30's Asian-Mix, very trendy and hip. I like all types of women but I prefer Latinas. Sixttina Discoteca- this is a high end night club located at the Rio Sur, across from Oviedo Mall. My Colombian friend invited me out along with 2 of his female friends. 4 guys and 3 girls in my party. Entrance was 15-20 COP K? Don't quite remember. We got a table and a bottle of smirnoff was about 90 COP K. It wasn't anything extravagant to the nice Vegas night clubs but it was pretty modern. Most of the girls going to this club are with guy friends and its very rare to see "only groups of girls" the girls there are Hot! 75% of the women there were solid 7 or above. I felt like I was in some modeling convention. We had drinks, danced the night away. I end up making out with one of the girls who came with us.
