But in my opinion and experience of buying here I have never had a second thought about just going in any pharmacy and asking if you have so and so and if they do I buy never a hesitation unless the price is so out of line. As a rule of thumb just do not buy on the street from the vendors and you will be okay.

Also, it's available for cheaper back in India, so why waste the extra baht. However, if the generics are more expensive in your home country than Thailamd, it would make more sense to buy locally in Thailand at one of the stores recommended by other board members.

Took a few days on my trip to Thailand and Pattaya has lived up to what I wanted.
