It depends what you need from a hotel!

I have used Thipurai Beach Hotel a couple of times. ([url]http://www.thipurai.com/[/url]) It is a good, mid range hotel with excellent location and reasonable rooms. Some with balcony. No problems with bringing your "playmates" back.

I can not remember if there were safes in the room or if they charge for internet.

City Beach Resort ([url]http://www.citybeachhuahin.com/[/url]) used to be quite OK but I have not stayed there for many years now.

I am booked in to Royal Express at $35 / night. No breakfast.

My best choice would be Chalelarn Hotel in 53/1 Nahb Kaehat Road. Balcony, directly downtown, room safe, free wifi, roof top pool. What I'm concerned it cannot get any better for what I'm looking for.

I know this doesn't belong here but I didn't find any other way.

What do I wrong when I search a thread for a key word and the summary page comes with the applicable entries. When I then click on "Go to post" it gets me SOMEWHERE but certainly (and never!) to that particular post. That's a little annoying, or what do I do wrong?

At the bottom of every page, including the one this post appears on, in the lower right click on contact us. This will open a webpage with a form. For subject select "other" and then fill in the box with "problem using search function" or something similar. Then write your message in the dialog box labeled "report." Then click on "send." i am planning a few overnight stays at phi phi and ko lanta. going through this thread, it looks like there are no go-go bars at these places. is there scope for fls or pickup with a backpacker at phi phi? the reports of karaoke bars at lanta are pretty old.

or maybe i should hit ao nang first and find an lt to take with me to lanta? are the gals fresh and young at these spots? i would suppose the younger ones would exploit their talents better at phuket.

what are the gf hotels at phi phi, ao nang and lanta?

i am heading to these places with another main agenda (diving) so its unavoidable.

-peeman[/quote]enjoy the diving! if you want a bed buddy, better to bring her with you. all the hotels are girl friendly, but you will have to find backpackers interested in the same thing you are, that is, getting laid and moving on, instead of local talent. if bringing a friend with you, you will need to spend some time finding a pyt who will go with you. if you have a few days in phuket, tell a few girls on bangla road what you want, and test drive before the rental. look forward to your report! ttg

A preliminary walk around my hotel indicates that there are more massage parlours per street than in any Skvy Soi.

However before you get too excited, the masseuses are either well past their sale by date (and given how Thai women do not show their age, that is being kind) or bluntly too unattractive to make it to the seamy shores go Bangkok.
Prices are comparable with Chiang Mai; I did not sample the quality.

When I was there they had 4 girls, a couple real lookers. I think it was 1500bht take out or rent a VIP room for a bit more. I stayed at that hotel and took one to my room. She spent the night and was happy with a 500bht tip.

Technically for the Myanmar threads but 'boom-boom' readily available across the border from Mai Sai.

My yuk-yuk driver was most disappointed in that I refused the opportunity.

As to Mai Sai. Go down left of Thai Gate and follow road to the right under the border crossing bridge. Local brothels along the road and hard drinking clubs.

Supect any yuk yuk driver will know where to go. But you have to be desperate!

I have been to most of the more regular places but now I am looking for someone a little less in you face where I can enjoy a relaxing holiday and still indulge in some night time activity. I am not into massage or discos just a nice meal then bar for a few drinks followed by a nice takeaway, so I am wondering if Hau Hin would be somewhere that would be my type of place.
