In fact I think they were two separate entities for business purposes even before they changed where one enters.

The only thing that could have changed recently is if there is new management. I don't know if that's the case.

As has already been noted in this thread, they are extremely strict with this policy, because they know they would be closed down immediately and forever if they were found violating it.

Management is the same kind of. : Aussie Gregg is in charge but he had leg amputated and lives in M2 alone with a helper. No guests allowed there. Robert is on the run in Mexico and Alexa is only working part time a few hours a week early morning. So it is self running now. Rumors about buyers but it has not happened yet. The property is extremely valuable, so a buyer could just demolish it, or whatever.

During that time Robert was on the lamb several times but always from criminal elements not the law, not sure who he is running from this time though.

So back to the original story of chicas that appeared young being in the bar. Why would they not be allowed in. As far as I know customers are allowed into bars and restaurants, and perhaps there are rules as to who can order alcohol, but other than that age or ID would not be an issue. But to get into the hotel is another story where from all accounts there is rigorous screening.

They are connected unofficially for government purposes but actually connected in reality. They use the same procedure in La Cueva the bar as the hotel. The write down the chicas name, cedula #, and phone number on entry to both hotel and bar.

So once a chica is in the bar they are already screened to be allowed into the hotel it seems like.

Andres from the mansion's 'cave' bar is trying to drum up business. He's promoting a July 4th Weekend party at the same time as the Panama vs Colombia final 4 match -- tomorrow July 6th. The main thing is that there will be 'no cover' (normally it is $50 k COP cover for men). Likely this has been distributed wide enough that it will be a girl-heavy night, so worth visiting if you are in Medellin tomorrow.

Saturday will be big too, as Colombia plays in Copa America at 5 pm.

Was that 30 over the course of 8 hours? What quality were they? Friendly and do able? Thanks for more details. I was there on a Saturday night before and was told there were 4 chicas, but they were in the bathroom, did not find any chicas when I went inside the bar twice and gave up. Later I was told Saturday nights were slow because the girls are out with their boyfriends Saturday nights. LOL.

This Saturday is not normal, so much more chicas expected since they put the word out. It was 30 chicas at maximum time. LOL, they go to bathroom to do tussi. Normally Thurs & Friday nights are best.

The staff is nice and hardworking, Poblado is a great part of town, talking to other guys at breakfast is nice but other than that the place has changed too much to be of use (my personal opinion, of course).

The facilities continue to deteriorate and the cost is too high for what you get but most importantly NO YOUNG LADIES!!

La Cueva is still kicking but I now consider that a separate entity. I'll go the the Cave still but they MUST lower prices now that the key incentive is gone.

Cuts a lot of the stress out and they meet fellow mongers to talk to. But otherwise, much better deal to get a nice AirBnb or even use Booking to rent a room next door (next door is a much nicer small hotel which is visitor friendly). I don't intent to stay there again until they change the daytime situation (allowing girls by the pool). However, I still visit the Cave bar regularly when in town and it continues to work well for me as a source of networking.

I've stayed at the Mansion dozens of times and I can't think of what it could be.
