Hi folks, I heard rumors (but no facts), that there are FS massage mparlours in the kemang area, near ranch mrket. Does anybody of you has further infos? My status of knowledge is that kemang is the desert of jakarta in terms of any action, but I would be happy to hear the opposite.

As a frequent traveller to Jakarta, I prefer to stick to the Hotel pub after a hard day's work. I for one have realised and am sick of getting ripped-off by the girls in BATS, Tiga-Puluh, CJ's and other Hotel pubs. Girls that should charge Rp350, 000 (or the most Rp400, 000) are now demanding Rp1 million or USD100! I am sure that there's a lot of people spoiling the market and act out of desperation for a shag.

I have been to Block M, Stadium, 1001 but these places gives me the creeps at times especially when you're alone hunting.

And we on this site are a tiny fraction of the total market and can't hope to influence it. Some of the girls probably complain to each other that they're sick of being ripped off by bules with big salaries staying in nice hotels who won't pay a little extra! Here are some approaches I've used with some success:

1. With massage girls. "I'd like to, but I'm meeting my girlfriend in a couple hours and I don't want to disappoint her." This leads to the massage girl trying to convince you that you have enough time and that you're "strong" enough to please the girlfriend later. I got a quote from 1 million down to 400k .

2. "I can give myself a hand job for a much better price." This usually makes the girl laugh and a cheerful negotiating session is generally more successful.

3. "I'd love to take you home, but I was planning to go to CJ's later (or Blok M or somewhere else). This reminds them that there's competition and that you have time to look elsewhere.

Of course, the key to good negotiating is being willing to NOT get a girl. This is where I usually fail. My opportunities are limited, and in a crunch I can't bear to lose the chance. And on top of that, if I like the girl I'd like to make her a little happier, I'm not so naive to think she actually wants to be with me.

Other tips would be welcome!

For the others I would suggest you tell them you only want to get it in one third of the way ... or prorata to what you want to pay ...

In any case what the top head (as opposed to the middle one with no brains) should remember, is that those girls do that as a business and in doing so they are trying to optimize their revenue which means that it all boils down to what price they can be happy with.

You can do it either way:telling her your maximum price or asking her her minimum price. The second option, if you can live with it, will ensure you better service for obvious reasons.

Therefore, like in any business, there are other elements that get into the price fixing equation:
- how popular she is: I have had to wait weeks and weeks and to go back many times to get some girls who are fully booked whenever you get there;
- how many guys she's got before you and she can hope to get after you;
- the time of the day, (sometimes early is better and sometimes late is better, I have had both);
- the proximity of any time off where she will not be making any money (like hollidays such as Eid or more simply her periods);
- whether she thinks you can become a regular or not: notice the innocent question: are you here for business or where do you live;
- then if you already are a regular, whether you treat her with small gifts or not: they are extremely sensitive to that;
- then there are secondary, subjective issues such as whether she is horny (very rare, don't kid yourself guys, but I've see it happen), whether she really likes you (if you look like Brad Pitt, she may offer herself for free but then you wouldn't be there), how nice you are to her, etc etc ...

And I am sure there are other considerations that I am leaving out but that you may want to think about.
