Just some observations about the Auckland scene of late. My main source of leads comes from the NZG website, with the NZ Herald also worth a peak from time to time.

Notice a heavy presence of advertising on NZG from one operator over the last few months. Easy to pick, as they are all based in Epsom. M[/QUOTE]On Liverpool Street, you are looking at the top part between K Road and City Road. Also there, look at City Road from the junction with Liverpool Street to Symonds Street.

On the other side of K Road, you will find Mercury Lane and East street.

Moving further West along K Road, you come to Howe Street as you noted. There, you would be looking at the run from K Road down to Hopetoun Street. Along Hopetoun Street from the Howe St junction all the way down to Ponsonby Road is another area as well as Hereford Street between Hopetoun and K Road. At that end of K Road but on the other side, you will see some more street workers on Ophir St and Ediinburgh St.

Finally, you will also see a few on K Road itself around the bridge that crosses the highway. Usually not far from Dick Smith's.

As for times, they do not come out until after sunset so at this time of year, you need to wait. On K Road itself, you will not see much action until late in the evening.

In terms of safety, I think that the streets in the North East of the area described are probably safest and the South West is the most dodgy.

Do be aware that by reputation a huge number of the street workers in that area are TV or TS.
