Hi folks,
I know that there are a million hotels in Pattaya but I am looking for a specific recommendation. I'd like to find a place that is near the main action (walking street?), but has a nice ambiance and, ideally, an ocean view. Needless to say, it needs to be entirely girl-friendly. I'm looking to spend around $100 US give or take (happy to spend less, of course).

Hi all, me and up to 5 other lads (aged 21-30) are going to come down to Pattaya for a week or two (from chiang mai).
Really looking forwards to it from what you guys are saying.
Can you suggest a nice place in the 1500-2000 per person per night range?
And a few places for girls? (are they called gogo bars here too?)
Oh and is anyone up for meeting up with a few guys from europe?. We come bearing cialis, beer and lots of senses of adventure.
I am heading to Pattaya tomorrow and plan to have 6 sinful nights (February 6-11) until I go to pick-up my farang GF at Suvarnabhumi.
I have been to Pattaya several times before and done too many bar girls and cannot take the bar girl nonsense any more. Although they are only slightly better I prefer the semi-pros abundant in night clubs (insomnia, etc.). Long story short, I am looking for a wing man to party together in clubs and bars (secondary). There is a nice pool and wading pool for the little ones.
I have been staying here every trip for the last 7 years, and enjoy the tranquility, and relative convience.

I'm plannig to move to Pattaya for 2 weeks at the end of April, and I'm still looking for a good GF hotel. Does anyone have good info about Classrooms hotel in South Pattaya, soi 13/4.

Saint! Thanks for the suggestion, I already had in my mind this hotel. The only thing is that I don't like to put my credit card number in small internet sites ... you never know. So I ask you an other advice, do you think that in april (I will arrive on the 23rd for 14 nights, it seems to be low season) I have a chance to go directly there without booking and find a room?

Looking for a hotel reasonably priced, near the beach and pretty central to the action. Scouted out Sawasdee Sea View as fitting the bill. Anyone stayed there? Any good?

Not a great hotel. But for the price i is ok.

Trouble is that hotels with this spec tend to book up months ahead. Was looking at Flipper Lodge but that seem to be full for the dates in early March when I'll be in town.
I stayed at the Best Beach Hotel on Soi 5 when I was there over Christmas & New Year
Really nice hotel, guest friendly, very friendly staff, great quite location as it does not have any bars on the Soi. Right in between the second road and beach road, and not that far from Walking street considering that you can get a Bath bus from the Beach road
The only down side, which wasnt a problem for me was that the some staff had limited understanding of english but I got by. And the other odd thing was they charged me an extra 40Baht for my entire stay for asking for an extra pair of pillows! WTF
