Went down for a few hrs last night, the place was just about right although I think I prefer daytime mongering. Not so much prior traffic in the shift.

Zona bars are a good place to work on spanish, a few dance steps at LasChavales, and your game since its like youre using training wheels, pretty hard to strike out....Chicas can be pretty patient with dorky non spanish speakers if they think there might be a payout at the end. Absolutely true. I never get bad treatment from the girls at Adelita. Many are real sweethearts. There's a few cold cabronas but even they will warm to you if treat them well and speak to them in their language and not grope them like they're on the stage at Hong Kong. I get a smile and a nonverbal 'howyoudoin?' from each of the girls I walk by. Some will tug at me like alley girls do for my attention and say their holas. I'll compliment them on their outfit, their eyes, or their smile and not just their T&A (of course I'm making a mental note of their bodies all the while). Many girls really seem to appreciate I speak to them in Spanish and I think that really does make the time in the booth and later upstairs better.
I really think Pete must be going to another bar than the Adelita I go to. Every post talks about the stuck-up robot girls that can't move from their post (they can go wherever they want, but most have favorite places to stand) and how to act upstairs. And how he feels it smells like puke (which I've never encountered). It doesn't smell like roses, but it is as clean as Hong Kong.
Every bar is different, as are the girls. I like Adelita. I go in and make a drinking motion and all the meseros know my drink of choice without having to open my mouth. I walk around and say hello to the girls I know and introduce myself to the new ones and have a great time. Yes, the creme show is a "me too" of the HK shows (but really I've seen it so many times it isn't new to me). But the new snake show is interesting. But I'm usually too busy chatting with the girls to notice what is going on the stage.
I also like to relax in Chicago. There's 5 girls there most nights that are just my type. It reminds me of an old brothel in Nuevo Laredo where I started my mongering hobby. I'm in Hong Kong enough that I'm known but if they'd not try to save a few pesos and turn on the AC when it gets crowded I'd probably stay around longer.
I like having a choice and appreciate every club's specialness. Although on the Hong Kong forum I did give my opinion on the declining quality of girls, there's still a few that make it worth my while. I just wish they'd apply better standards to the girls they let in to work there. But all the bars ebb and flow all the time in terms of quality and quantity.

HK pretty much only uses a few edecanes now for slower times to bump up the number of chicas and keep things lively. They have enough chicas who want to work the busier weekends they dont need em really and girls would rather show up without a sash and work the floor and balconies normally. HK and AB were both fairly busy Sat night, the doors are only maybe 60 yards apart so its easy to go between the 2 clubs or even Las Chavales in-between for more of a 'locals' type of experience. A couple former favoritas of Chicago club, Roxana, Marylou and Diana are now working in Hong Kong like alot of other former CC girls so at times it feels like CC2 but with alot more people hehe. AB had a pretty good 'wingman gawker' crowd outside the door 11pm or so Sat night so thats a good sign arribas are up.

Exactly! Hong Kong is a US-styled strip club that goes by Mexican contact rules. Adelita is of the old school brothel/cantina (but with a stage for stripping). In most bars in Mexico the girls will be wallflowers waiting to be approached by the man because that is how they roll.
Over the years, Adelita has made serious efforts to court the gringo customer but at it soul it is the same old bar it was back in the day playing nothing but Banda and Norteño. Now they have the bed shows, snake shows, American music and a DJ that speaks in English. They may have a Facebook page now, but they still play by Mexican rules. Just like all of the other bars in Zona Norte except Hong Kong.
Adelita isn't a Dennys. The girls aren't assigned areas or given a rulebook. There's no timeclock or staff meetings. The girls are closer to independent contractors than they are to employees. They can travel within the bar and most do. Some have favorite spots. Some rotate through a few spots they like. Some will walk around and talk to guys. If your'e a chesty blonde you don't want to be standing next to another chesty blonde that may be better looking that you are. If possible, the smart chica will want to stand next to an ugly girl since it will automatically make her look better. The managers do not instruct the girls how to act downstairs or upstairs. The girls learn mostly from emulating their coworkers. Girls will get favorite spots. I asked my current flavor of the month about why she stands where she does and a big reason is aside from getting a lot of guys walking by her, all of her regulars know where to find her. They have a ficha quota to make in order to work there and hit the room as often as they can to make more money to keep in their pockets.
Hong Kong, on the other hand, is the answer to what gringos have wanted inside of American strip clubs forever. You can touch the dancers all you want. The drink prices aren't insanely expensive. You can take the girls up to the room. It is a gringo's wet dream. I love going to Hong Kong. But I like the vibe of Adetlia as well. It isn't a total sausagefest with "10x the number of guys" like Hong Kong. There are very good looking women there. The DJ doesn't sing along with the songs in broken English like that pinche cabrón at Hong Kong. We're lucky to have choices. And we'll all have our favorites.
Poor preformance chicas exist at AB & HK and are part of the selection process.

Adelita is a great option if you are in a hurry. I can walk in and be upstairs with someone sexy within literally 60 seconds if I choose. Or I can sit down and watch 30 women give me funny glances as if they are too shy to say anything for 3 hours.
There are definitely a few gorgeous girls in that club that WILL work the room, and have all but begged for my business. They are very outgoing, speak excellent English, and keep quite busy.
Anyone know the name of the rather tall, dark brunette, big lipped girl who often wears full body stocking type outfits? She is usually the best looking girl in the room. I was at Adelitas last night and they recreated the Ironman performance from the second movie. It was very entertaining. There were 4 girls as back up dancers in costumes very similar to the movie. On Friday night I asked Erica, and she quoted me $500 dollars (+ $100 dollar bar fine). I have known her for 6 months and have done many short time sessions with her, always for $60 dollars. It was the worst possible time since it was the beginning of her shift on Friday night. I know I would have been much better positioned later in the night, or on a different day of the week - or as she suggested, call her during the day. Internationally the rate for long time is usually 1.5x-3.0x as much as short time so I was little shocked at her asking price. A month or two ago, I pulled one out of Hong Kong at closing time for $100 dollars (no bar fine). Yes I don't need to be reminded Adelita's is one of the worst places on the planet for long time.
