Thanks for your interesting report. I am from a non speaking english country in Western Europe so. Maybe its my english or you were unclear: what did you actually pay in the $100 and $300 "cases" you mention in your report?
As a matter of fact I go to Accra very soon and of course hope tro contribute something to this forum.
Before my trip I have carefully read all the reports of the last 6 months and I always wonder: what is the importance of age in all those reports: I mean age of the mongerer. I think that a guy in his twenties will tend to have more easy times (and hence other reports and pay less? ) then a 64 year old "dirty man "
(by the way: I am 51) This remark of mine is not just a hypothesis but I have some evidence for this.

Eyed up one gorgeous model looker as she waited for a taxi and she came over to join me for a drink. A beautiful Nigerian, in Accra on holiday for a fortnight (? ) but not very enamoured by Ghanaians. She didn’t like the few mosquitoes around so we strolled back to Byblos (strictly functional but g-f) and had a great night – she had a stunning and responsive body. However, the shocker came in the morning when I gave her taxi money. She became incensed, saying that she wasn’t "like Ghanaian girls" and didn’t want taxi money – but did want USD300! She really created a fuss so I simply walked out and left with my daypack as I had only booked for a night. She reinforced my opinion of Nigerians from several countries – fabulous looking, sexy as hell but high risk.
On my last day (Friday), I was phoned by a girl I had met in Jokers a few trips ago. We met up in Champs for drinks. She was even better than I remembered, 1. 7m of sinuous limbs and tongue (the not so flattering photo was taken in trhe morning). She’d also had a heavy makeover, with long dyed blonde hair and tantalized me with photos on her phone.come midnight, she asked to go to Macumba’s, which was a bit livelier this time around. Perhaps again a sign of a slow time in Accra, there was a serious catfight over a couple of guys who came in with girls and one on the dancefloor clearly felt that she had first claim. Some stunning bodies around (anyone who’s been in Macumba’s recently will know who I mean when I mention the tall girl in the white mini and boots, who wears out every dance partner). Headed back to Paloma (again g-f and far more relaxing than Byblos) and had an energetic ball for most of what remained of the night and again in the morning. However, again was surprised to find that the taxi money was not enough and that she held out for USD100. Not easy as I did like her and upped the rate a bit. She simply walked out looking hurt as I paid for the room so probably won’t be in touch again. A shame.
Bottom line? Strange times in Accra and far different to the party atmosphere that was all over in January for the Cup of Nations. Lots of locals warning about increasing crime but it’s still one of the safest cities in Africa (and I’ve covered Cape Town to Addis and Abuja) and low hassle. Silly requests from girls (and the crime rate) probably due to the huge increases in prices all around over the last year. But it does mean that you have to be more clued in on your selection of partner for an evening. Roll on next time.
