i am back in the states, after 14 nights in dom. rep. i stayed in hotel palacio in zona colonial, santo domingo; el gran almirante hotel in santiago; hotel el emabajador and hotel la casona dorado in santo domingo. hotel palacio is nice, one half block from el conde. grocery store on the corner and around the corner on el conde es la cafetera, a small old coffee shop, that serves coffee, juices and sandwiches. hard rock cafe is about three blocks away from the hotel palacio. i knew various chicas from online before i went to santo domingo. many of the chicas i knew from online were flakey about meeting me in person. many of the santo domingo chicas i knew from online would not leave their homes after 8pm at night. most of the chicas who came to meet me brought along a cousin or friend. i would usually tell them to meet me in front of the hard rock cafe, (which is in front of the cathedral and park colon). i ate pizza at the anacoana restaurant which is adjacent to the hard rock cafe, terrible pizza, would not recommend anacoana restaurant. also ate at the hotel penalba restaurant down the block from the hard rock cafe. i ordered a cheeseburger with a side of mangu. the mangu was cold, the chica i was with, ordered shrimp. she received about five small shrimp on her plate, cost was about 30 dollars for the two meals.
one 20 year old i knew from online, i invited to the pool at the hotel palacio, she came to the hotel with a 20 year big titty friend, however the hotel would not allow her in, because she did not have her cedula, so that was a waste. numerous santo domingo chicas i talked to had colds (enferma, gripe). i could hear the sniffling while i talked with them on the phone. i would guess from the air pollution there. seems to be no emission controls on any vehicles in santo domingo, terrible traffic at times, with terrible air pollution. late at night is the best time to drive, very few cars on the roads. 4pm to 7pm the traffic is awful.
drove over to club mc on friday afternoon around 5pm. while on ave 27 de febrero, coming from the center of the city going west (towards bani and away from zona colonial) go past churchill and (after about five minutes) you will come to mendoza, make a right on mendoza, while on mendoza the first street you will pass is a one way going west, the next street you can make a right. you will see on the corner ceramica servanda, a large ceramic store, make the right at this street. club mc is on this street about three quarters of the way down the street on the right. if you continue to ave delfillo you will see a pizza mania place on the corner with delfillo. 504b is the house number, i took a picture. this house has two doors, you want the one with the metal gate in front of the door, the door on the left. there is door bell button on the wall to the left of the door. there is sign adjacent to this house, which i remember reading "mikes dive. " (maybe a sign for a diveshop) busy street with lots of traffic at around 5pm, so park where you can. later at night i was told the traffic is less. i entered club mc, about six girls lounging in a living room with a small bar, a small outdoor courtyard when you walk past the living room. i asked one guy who was working there what the cost was and he directed me to the female manager. i am sure i received the gringo price, 2000 pesos for one hour. 1500 pesos for 30 minutes. i was told that there would be more girls there in the evening. i saw no great beauties. the woman who i guess runs the place gave me her card, the card reads: sandra, administradora, club mc, francisco prats ramirez de perez no. 504-b, (ant, hatuey, entre carmen de mendoza y dr. delfillo) ensanche quisqueya, santo domingo, tel 809-683-3791, cel. 809-299-1427.
i left mc and drove to carrefour, terrible traffic around 6pm. i had met some chica online that day and i called her and she said we could meet at carrefour. i ordered a small pepperoni pizza, freshly made at pizza hut, breadsticks and soda, 200 pesos, in carrefour. the chica appeared with her friend and i invited her to bar atarazana. she said she needed to shower and change her clothes. i drove them to their house which was near manoguayabo street. no electricity in the house. the brother and mother where sitting in the living room in the dark when i entered. i sat down and made myself comfortable. the chicas went and showered (or spalshed themselves with water, no electricity meant no running water). they invited another friend who was better looking. i have post photos of two of the chicas below. after about an hour we drove over to bar atarazana in zona colonial. thursday night, open bar, cost for me and three chicas was 600 pesos. presidentes not included in the open bar. the one better looking chica ordered baileys which was not included in the open bar. mostly a young crowd at atarazana that thursday night. not a high end crowd. not many great beauties. the three chicas i was with, everytime i took their photo they did something with their mouth or tongues, the one chica, deep throated a presidente bottle, whacky. i danced with the one better looking one. the chicas exited after two hours and i stayed there alone. i got no real play from any other chicas there. i asked for my bill (la cuenta), i was charged for 5 baileys and 13 presidentes (3400 pesos). i said this is wrong and the waiter corrected the bill. i had ordered 6 presidentes and 4 baileys. i don't trust the owner of bar atarazana. i was in this bar before on this trip and my wingman ordered a glass of red wine and he told me it was terrible. he asked the price of a bottle of red wine and he was told 150 dollars, and that was on a quiet night with very few people in the bar. i was in bar atrazana in july 2008 and used my credit card to pay for the drinks (it was the only place in dom rep where i used my credit card that trip) when i returned to the states i was informed that someone was making purchases with my card in mexico. it would not surprise in the least if the the short white guy who owns bar atarazana is not selling credit card information from the tourists who use use his bar.
i exited atrarazana and drove over to coppa disco in the melia, coppa is free to enter. i ordered a presidente from my waiter, gave him a 500 peso bill and waited for my change. eventually i had to walk over to him and ask him for my change.
i had a better time in santiago. the people in santiago seem to be a little more happy. many people in santo domingo are grumpy. i like the hotel el gran almirante in santiago. after being in santiago for three days, when i returned to santo domingo i felt like was in times square (the old times square in new york city), lots of hustlers. i doubt i will do any extended trips to santo domingo again. my next trip i will fly into santiago. before this trip i really did not like the chicas in santiago. now i prefer the chicas in santiago. i also know a few good chicas in san pedro de marcoris. santiago is a little bit easier on the eyes. i saw no working girls in santiago the three days i was there, but i was not really looking, because i was busy with chicas that i met online. some i had to blow off, because i did not have the time.
the road to san pedro de marcoris after boca chica is good. there are places on this road, once you get past boca chica, where the road is flat and straight for miles, hence the high speed of the car. there is a club on this highway, on the side in the direction going back towards santo domingo. place is called club vip, i have stopped at this place like 5 times and it is was always closed. they have a lit sign facing the highway and the building is painted nice on the outside, not sure what the deal is with that place. i believe it is before guavaberry country club when coming in the direction of san pedro de marcoris going towards santo domingo.
seems there were a few working girls in the bar near the public beach in juan dolio, nothing special. keep whatever coins you receive in your car. some person will invaribaly come and wash your windshield while you are stopped in traffic in santo domingo. good to have coins in the car, so you can give this person 5 or 10 centavos. they will wash your windshield no matter what, they just come and do it.
