On another note, downtown is pure narco heaven, probably 95 to 97 percent of the downtown girls are serious drug users. Shame really, because they could make serious money if they dedicated themselves to something other than their drug habit. My friend and I got down to Nuevo Laredo at about 10pm Friday night. We headed over to the Hotel Fiesta and were told there was no running water in the place. The desk dude told us it had been out all day. When we asked him about other hotels in the area he said they all had problems with the water working as well. We decided to head over to a hotel by the plaza that Laura from Montera recommended. It's called El Meson Del Rey. The rooms were $35 and were twice as nice as Fiesta. Tiled and marble floors, new air conditioners that worked great and plenty of hot water in nice looking showers. We will never do Fiesta again after staying here!

Anyway, went to Montera at around 11pm. There were only a couple of good looking women so we headed over to The Blue Fox. This establishment is starting to get more to our likings as they will play any music you want and there are some pretty good looking women in there these day. A flaquita bonita (if I may use your vernacular McLipsch) came over and I immediately recognized her from Danash. Beautiful young thing (I forgot her name). She showed me about a 6 inch scar from some building shrapnel that cut her very badly during that bombing a couple of weeks ago. She told us she was the only girl injured and that there were 3 car bombs that went off. To make a long story short, she said the bombs scared the hell out of her so much that she will never touch foot en la zona otra vez. So off we went to Danash. But on the way, we ran into Chente who took us there in his new white F250 pickup.

We got to Danash at about midnight and there were maybe a total of 6 guys and 6 girls in the place. It was pretty dead. The last think I need is for some local to cause me problems in the future.

My girl and I headed over to La Herradura after Montera closed and drank and danced till the wee hours. I saw Bbond and McKlipsch sitting at another table and thought it was cool running into them. We headed over to my hotel and had a great evening.

El Meson del Ray Hotel is located at 718 Guerrero. They are connected by a door on the south end of Zapateria Oscar. It is a four story building facing a park.
