Johnny,
Laguna is actually on Fenwick St.! If you go South from Laguna for less than a block, you will be at the junction of Fenwick & Lockhart and Fenwick is at the NE corner of this junction. Neptunes is east of Fenwicks on Jafee Rorad which is the next street north of Lockhart. Great idea ... is there a good place to securely store luggage, perhaps at the airport express station or a subway station in Kowloon? I will need to pick up the luggage and head to Macau the following day.
I'll be landing at the Hong Kong airport at 10 p.m., which means I'm not likely to make it to my hotel until midnight. Are there any good options at that hour?
Also, will I need a mobile phone to arrange for a 141 visit? Or can I just go to one of the commonly advertised locations like the James S. Lee Mansion, and go shopping in person?
I too would like to pick-up and buy a Mobile phone for my upcoming one week visit - what are the option?? It is possible to purchase a "pre-paid" cell phone for local use?

There is a left luggage at HK Airport express station, it‘s not the easiest to find but it is sign posted.
There is a luggage storage at the Macau Ferry terminal also. Go ask at the ticket counter. they will help you.

Assuming you have an unlocked cell phone, you just need to go to any 7-11 or newstand and pick up a local sim card, don't need a new phone. If you don't have an unlocked cell, then buy one (range from USD 10-300) and it should work in any Asian/European country with the appropriate sim card. BTW, the ariport has numerous vendors on the departure floor.

more and more teenage girls are offering men paid companionship and sex, but the seedy trade of 'compensated dating' comes at a price
elaine yau
feb 21, 2008
tucking into a banana dessert in a mong kok upstairs cafe, 21-year-old sugar chats vivaciously about her studies and social life. but the cherubic-looking young woman hides a secret: she has a lucrative sideline in compensated dating, a euphemism for paid companionship and sex.
"i have slept with more than 20 men," says sugar, describing her exploits with the nonchalance of a hardened prostitute. "my clients come from all kinds of backgrounds. some are bespectacled nerds. some are family men with kids who are frustrated by their wives' aversion to sexual experimentation."
sugar is among a growing number of young women engaged in compensated dating, a trend introduced from japan several years ago. known as enjo kosai - enjo meaning subsidy and kosai meaning company or association - the practice emerged in the country during the 1990s when young women began to earn extra cash by catering to male fetishes and providing companionship to mostly middle-aged businessmen.
in hong kong, a spate of explicit stories in the chinese press in recent months has led to a surge in the seedy business.
however, sugar isn't a beneficiary. she laments that interest in young women like her is waning due to fierce competition from teenagers out to finance their addiction to expensive designer gear.
"girls in their early twenties are already considered old," says sugar. "when i first entered the business two years ago, men were willing to pay hk$1,300 a night. now, you can easily find a 16- or 17-year-old through the internet, and many regard me as too expensive."
the rise in schoolgirls venturing into the trade also means fewer return clients for sugar. "no matter how pretty you are, most men never come back after one date since they have so many to choose from," she says.
strictly speaking, compensated dating excludes sexual contact but girls who start with holding hands and kissing on dates often move on to intercourse with clients.
it's a slippery slope, says chui yat-hung, a social science lecturer at the polytechnic university who has interviewed several girls in his research.
the girls' moral boundaries become fuzzier after a few paid dates as they grow accustomed to the idea, he says, and once the barrier of intercourse is breached they succumb more easily to monetary temptation because there's less meaning attached to sexual contact.
yang memorial methodist social services, a welfare group which conducted a survey last year of teenage girls involved in paid dating, cites lack of parental care, deepening materialism among young people and easy communication through the internet as factors for the spread of paid dating.
the explosion of web guides listing terms and rules for paid dating is alarming, says chiu tak-choi, supervisor of a youth centre run by the group. it found some 200 websites and forums advertising paid-dating services.
"the ease with which young girls can access the information, coupled with peer pressure, puts them in a vulnerable situation," chiu says.
sugar, who solicits clients by posting messages on web forums, says the plethora of sites helps draw more teenage girls into the trade.
"you don't even need an agent," she says. "a post on those sites can elicit dozens of responses a night. i discuss all the terms and payment with brothers [male clients] through msn. from posting a message on a forum to going out on a date, the whole transaction is completed in a matter of a few days."
but for all her candidness, sugar is careful to distinguish herself from teenagers entering the fray. she comes from a broken family that still relies on welfare, and selling her body is a last resort to deal with financial difficulties, she says.
"i don't do that because i want to buy an lv [designer bag]. the money i earn helps pay for my tuition fees and my elder sister's credit card debts. i feel guilty about acting like a prostitute," she says. "but many young ccs [cantonese slang for paid dates] i know are really shameless and boast of their high earnings and designer goods as if that's a great feat. i used to be a part-time tutor. the meagre pay of hk$80 an hour is a pittance compared to what i earn as a cc."
a quick internet search shows just how easy it is to arrange a seedy tryst. input "compensated dating" and you'll call up a host of virtual hangouts frequented by men in search of casual sex.
an it specialist in his late 20s, peter leung (not his real name) is among the "brothers" seeking the comfort of paid dates.
"i first learned about it several years ago when icq [instant messaging] was all the rage among young people. my first paid date was arranged by an agent who charged me hk$100 for a referral," he says.
although there are many cheap prostitutes across the border, the willingness of hong kong men to pay a premium for local girls attests to their desire for fresh, young women. leung, for example, was initially driven by curiosity but a taste for young girls kept him going back for more. "mainland prostitutes are mostly patronised by grass roots, middle-aged men. educated local men regard local ccs as fresher and less experienced," says leung, who holds a master's degree.
he concedes that clients are deluding themselves in thinking that local "dates" are cleaner than prostitutes who may have venereal disease. "that's why i have regular medical checkups," he says.
nevertheless, he adds: "if they have the cash to spare, men always prefer courtesans to hard-core prostitutes."
sugar agrees. "we fulfil the fantasies of some hong kong men who can't meet girls like us within their social circles. whether it's a man with only secondary education having sex with a university student, a nerdy introvert sleeping with a gregarious girl or a middle-aged guy bedding a high-school student, they can venture outside their circles."
young women involved in paid dating face the same hazards as prostitutes, including violent clients, sexual disease and legal penalties.
"instead of being a risk-free way to earn quick bucks, compensated dating can expose them to a host of dangers, including [CodeWord123], unwanted pregnancy and a sense of shame that can haunt them forever," says chiu.
the youth worker says teenage girls involved in paid dating often develop distorted notions of sex and love. "many are convinced they can distinguish between their boyfriends and clients. some have the wrong idea that they have the final say over the transactions, which makes them different from prostitutes."
reports in the chinese press over the past year offer stark reminders of the other risks girls take when going out with clients: in january last year, a 19-year-old was raped and photos of the girl stripped and gagged with a chloroform-soaked towel were circulated on the web. six months later, a 15-year-old student was robbed and raped.
girls touting sexual services online can be charged with soliciting for an immoral purpose, which carries the maximum penalty of six months' jail and a fine of hk$10,000. a 15-year-old girl was arrested in a police raid last year after her pimp posted her photo on the internet to solicit for business.
sugar acknowledges her part-time job is fraught with risk; she has been forced to endure rough sex and had a client run off after groping her through their dinner date, leaving her with a huge bill.
but she says she needs the money. "i'll quit when i have saved enough to pay for all my tuition. i feel guilty every time; i am always torn between my urge to earn money and my revulsion for what i do. it is a constant struggle."
her secret life has certainly put paid to any fantasies of romance. "i don't have a boyfriend now. you can't have a boyfriend living a life like mine," she says. "i don't share ordinary girls' dreams of true love and romance. all men are the same. even if they have a dutiful wife or a decent girlfriend, they always long for excitement outside."
SEAsia Joe, I'd be very interested in that too. I'll do a little poking around online.
Last night I went to 37D. I told them the last few times they've given me fatties and I'm not accepting one this time. Was shown 4 girls and chose Fei Fei--not "fat fat" like the recently deceased actress Lydia Shum, but "fly fly," like Faye Wong's name. For those of you who speak Cantonese.
Anyway, she was thin and sweet looking and wearing very normal clothes... not like the slutty ones you often see the girls wearing. We got to talking. Local HK girl. She speaks excellent English. I was carrying with me a work of great literature and she took it and started reading from it. Impressive. We discussed it while undressing and showering.
One interesting thing was that the normal 3rd floor hotel was full and we went up to the 9th floor instead. It cost $20 less. I just let her keep it.
Very cute tits, pretty average for Chinese girls, with big protruding nipples. Very firm, at first I thought they might be fake but couldn't find any evidence of it.
Pretty standard fuck, I DATY and she came a couple of times. The only thing I didn't like was that after I DATY she wanted to wash my mouth and wash herself before we fucked. But everything else was very nice, she was into it and seemed very genuine.
After showering we left, she leaned on me and wrapped her arms around me and told me I was a great guy and she hoped to see me again. For me that really adds to the experience. Treat them right and they will return the favor.
She's worth seeing. I'll repeat.
Have fun and stay safe,
Johnny Rocket

Good article SE Joe.
I found a plethora of sites on this with keywords 援交 妹 香港. Not sure which site works.
Interesting to see how this fad works out in HK. I'm not sure how it is in Japan where it orginated, but in more economically developed countries like Taiwan and Korea this fad has come and gone.
Personally I think unregulated sex trade creates a cesspool of fraud and deceit, for both parties. Indeed most of the keyword search returns more follies and crime stories then actual meeting sites.
Incidentally this subsidized dating I believe has lived quietly under the giant sex trade machine that is Hong Kong in small MongKok KTVs and 'Internet Bars' in one form or another.
The girls at those places are all 18-20, acting ostensibly as hotstess when in fact you pay 200-500 to the manager and you take the girl out for 800-1k. But since the girls are not independent and works in a cafe, it takes the fun out of the spirit of underwrite a damsel in distress.
It is not a model that can flourish under huge public eye and participation. To wit, the bigger it gets, the less chance it has in sustaining.

HT
I guess that compensated dating is a little like "Talking Bars" in Taiwan? It's been a couple years since I've been to one but I assume that they're still around. I've never actually scored one from a Talking Bar, but pretty sure it's possible (from what other buddies have told me anyway). Sort of like Wan Chai bars where you buy lady drinks. The fact that extras really aren't pushed or even mentioned gives it a more independent feel. Need to have game to actually score, but then you won't get rejected out of hand as you may in a civilian bar.

First a disclaimer! My knowledge on this subject comes from what I have read in newspapers and Talking to a few local people. I have never been offered this or know anyone who has done it or doing it.
Having said that, the local girls are recruited from usual teen hangs-out. They are befriended by agents that gets them free food and drinks or get them free access to venues that are popular and have long lines and high cover charge. The next step they encourage the girls to by high price brand name items and they suggests to them to have dates with rich "Chinese" guys in exchange for some money. On the other hand, the rich guys through their own network and contacts set up the date and when they are in HK for business, they have these girls as companion. The clients are exclusively rich Chinese men from places like Singapore, Malaysia, or mainland. An older looking Chinese gentleman sitting in a restaurant with a young Chinese lady will not attract any attention.
Apparently searches for this in the Internet will just returns related stories rather than actual contact.
What you hear and experience could be 180 degree opposite of what I have heard.

Jiggy, RTFF. We talked about this a few pages back. If you are rich, at the top of your (prestigious) profession, impeccably dressed in something seen on a catwalk not more than 2 weeks ago, stunningly handsome, and willing to spend a lot of money and put up with truly frightening attitudes, excessive vanity and unwarranted arrogance, you have a legitimate shot at picking up a HK girl for "free" at clubs in Lan Kwai Fong and a few other locales.
Otherwise, RTFF again and pick your PFP poison.
