I'm much more comfortable investing in undervalued shares that produce an actual cash flow stream, i.e., dividends. However, thanks in large part to coaching from SubCmdr, I'm comfortable using bitcoin as a substitute for currency in certain situations. Maybe he'll weigh in here. As he notes, there are only a limited number of BTC that can be mined, and we're getting closer to that limit. Perhaps it's like gold, only much more convenient for financial transactions. Why does gold have a lot more value than copper? Hell if I know, but it has been a store of value for centuries.

You can short BTC futures contracts listed on the CME, and from what I've read on crypto exchanges as well. I'd have more confidence in the CME product, but the margins can be extreme. I believe at times Interactive Brokers has required you have more cash and unmargined securities in your account than the actual notional value of the contracts.

The issue with any of those investments and you touched on it is they just sit there. Other assets like stocks, bonds, or farm land provide income or dividends. So yeah, it makes sense to hold some of it as a hedge against the dollar, and it is a great way to get around that $10,000 limit placed on your when you travel, but I do not think it should be looked at as an investment. It is more of a safe holding and given how you can change BTC into currency, I do not get why using BTC is as currency is that big of a deal.

If he were actually able to do that, a Democratic Party president elected in 2028 would probably keep Trump's tariffs in place, like Biden did. While they don't want you to know it, sane Democrats realize they can't realize their agenda and just tax people who make over $400,000. They'll have to raise taxes on most taxpayers, and a tariff is a sneaky way to do that. As to your hyperlink, Harris has backtracked on decriminalizing prostitution and may have returned to her earlier views. In 2008 she opposed a San Francisco referendum to decriminalize prostitution and told the NYT, ""I think it's completely ridiculous, just in case there's any ambiguity about my position. It would put a welcome mat out for pimps and prostitutes to come on into San Francisco."

for not more than 10 years, or both.
(b) AGGRAVATED VIOLATION.Whoever, using a facility or
means of interstate or foreign commerce or in or affecting interstate
or foreign commerce, owns, manages, or operates an interactive
computer service (as such term is defined in defined in section
230(f) the Communications Act of 1934 (47 U.S.C. 230(f))), or conspires
or attempts to do so, with the intent to promote or facilitate
the prostitution of another person and
(1) promotes or facilitates the prostitution of 5 or more
persons; or
(2) acts in reckless disregard of the fact that such conduct

shall be fined under this title, imprisoned for not more than 25

And there you have it. If through reviews ISG "promotes or facilitates the prostitution of 5 or more persons," then anyone who owns, manages or operates the web site can be incarcerated for up to 25 years.

I believe the name change from internationalsexguide.com to internationalsexguide.info occurred because somebody stole its original domain name. However, the change to internationalsexguide.nl most likely occurred either because of FOSTA/SESTA or because Jackson et al saw something like it coming. Similarly The Erotic Review moved offshore and for a while wasn't available in the USA. You don't see people like David Elms, Michael Lacey and James Larkin being the face of sites that review or advertise prostitution anymore. I imagine they're trying to stay out of the public eye as much as possible, because of these laws.

This is another example of how Kamala Harris and many other politicians have no regard for free speech.
