That you would be "familiar" to Sweden is hard to believe based on what you're writing.

The disease started in Wuhan, and the next epicenters were South Korea, Iran and Italy. Its safe to say that the virus doesn't follow a geographical pattern. It's impossible to claim that Italy should have been worse affected than any other European country based on geography. With that said it's easy to dismiss the claim that the Benelux countries should have received the virus much earlier than Sweden.

In the modern society people are traveling by airplane, not horse and carriage. That makes it much harder to predict how a virus will spread. Also, Sweden had a lot of people coming in from Iran, one of the first epicenters. Early in March the hospitals put up signs in Persian about Covid-19. As that wasn't enough lots of Swedes went to the Alps because we had a School break.

When it comes to how densely populated Sweden is the stats won't give you the full picture as we have large areas where no one resides.

The population in Sweden is much larger than any of our neighbors. There's no comparison. It makes no sense at all to compare Sweden to it's neighbors.

Denmark is doing terrible compared to Norway and Norway is doing terrible compared to Finland.

Let's count the number of newly unemployed, that's the scary statistics, not the death toll. People are being affected so badly by the measures taken to stop this little virus.

Secondly, Sweden is one of the most sparsely populated countries in Europe and the Benelux region is the most densely populated, this certainly has an effect on the progression of the disease, that is why New York is hit far harder than Los Angeles (if anyone knows this city it is a relatively sparsely populated metropolis and New York is far more dense).

So in order to compare like for like, I was comparing Sweden with Norway and Denmark, where the mortality rates are a lot lower.

What I said, and we won't know for sure which strategy was the most optimal until this is over, is that countries with a lax lockdown will pay a higher price in terms of mortality.

Let us take the 3 countries you have chosen to use as a sample set, look at the section entitled. Daily New Deaths, the trend is pretty obvious to me, especially when compared the Netherlands to Sweden, in the Netherlands the number of new deaths is stabilizing and in Sweden it is spiking. I could use even better examples, have you seen the number of new deaths in Norway compared to Sweden, but I have chosen to answer your question.

Both the Netherlands and Belgium are many times more densely populated than the populated regions of Sweden (we are not talking about Lappland here) and far closer to the major outbreaks in Europe geographically. So Sweden should have a lower mortality rate, all things being equal, at the same web site you can see the deaths per one million population, the Netherlands at 140 is quite close to Sweden at 91, even given its far higher population density.

And in addition to that, Belgium had a relatively late lockdown compared to other European countries, whether or not this relationship can be statistically proven, the Netherlands is stabilizing more quickly than Belgium.

It seems to me that this virus is bringing to boil a lot of nationalistic passions on this forum that have generally stayed hidden hitherto. The French feel their system is superior, the Japanese claim their system is superior, the Swedish feel they are superior and so forth. This type of bickering is unfortunate. The virus originated in China and has moved around the world fast. No one has truly defeated the virus yet. It is a virus if it exists in one part of the world can still pose a threat to people in other areas of the world until we find a cure and a vaccine. In my view, it is too early and premature to be celebrating and chest thumping that you are superior. We Americans have suffered a lot and when I talk to my friends here, even all the upper middle class folks who have been safely staying home, working from home, and are very comfortable, there is a deep sense of anxiety, melancholy and sadness in everyone. Even the ones who prudently got out of investments early on and staved off the losses are not celebrating. People are just sad at the loss of so many lives.

BTW, Germany is suddenly moving up the chart. Total cases shot up from 71,000 to 120,000 and # deaths from 700+ by almost 3 to 4 times to 2600+. This is just in 10 days!!

It mutates. So total immunity is a hoax. Same as vaccines. But genes and bloodtypes can help. Maybe also some immune cells from closely related mutations may help. But that is still just assumptions so far.

You are either selfish or expect the girl to be stupid. Second, just because a girl has some immunity does not make her safe in any way. If she goes with a asymptomatic punter before you, her contamination will easily infect you. This virus is highly transmissible.
