Ricker was criticizing a member for spending a little over $ 100 bucks for a night on the town and assuming that the guy was so naive that his date was going to bring a bunch of friends and family members with her. That's not what I call "only good energy". And to assume that NCal is not well traveled and needs Ricker's advice on this is not good energy either.

Haven't read in the rules of this forum anywhere stating that the number of posts someone has give them more credibility or less. Or somehow makes them immune from criticism. In fact, the last statement in the post I made was full of good energy, while Ricker's post toward NCal was nothing but a negative buzz kill.

When someone contributes and has been contributing for some time they should be encouraged to continue reporting. Don't be a afraid to criticize others but don't be rude and afterward don't be resentful.

Too many board members disappear due to an unfriendly environment. My friend, Wilt The Stilt, quit the board earlier this year in part due to this. Although I argue with Wilt about stupid shit, I find him to be wise in these areas and a gifted writer, unlike myself, to boot. Now he is gone along with his many articulate, insightful posts.

Don't forget that this is just an internet forum. IMO there is no reason to get to upset about anything.

And, Ricker is considered a "big boy" here because he is a well respected senior member and over the years his contributions have been appreciated. My words are not meant as a "defense" or "fighting his battles for him. " As a relatively new member to this forum, it's only fair that you know the lay of the land, so to speak.

Occasionally, Old Parr, we have contributors that want to be critical of another member. That's certainly acceptable and livens up the discussions, sometime. But, if the "battle" you write of is based on the opinions of those of us who have been around and lived in Colombia for a reasonable amount of time, Ricker is the wrong guy to attack as if he didn't know shit from shinola.

Meanwhile, I wish you only good energy.

To be so cynical is a buzz kill, and this kind of talk on this forum is the reason that so many guys here think that dating beautiful non-pros, which to me has always been like shooting fish in a barrel, is next to impossible. Ricker has (ALWAYS) gone out of his way to help others, same w / Wilt (although more critical and usually right). BUT no one comes close to Ricker in just plain giving of himself. We are talking year after year. His contributions in the Colombian Forum are substantial and have helped many guys have a great time in Meddy like myself. When other posters were too busy Ricker was there and giving of his vast knowledge and I know this first hand in 2010.

So Nino, please cool it (as the Rolling Stones once told the crowd in Altamont, I was was there, I heard it).

In your original critique of Ricker you were overly harsh. Let it be, you can't defend it. We all have worth and we should move on from here.

I find it amusing that so many people on internet forums take things to heart, and let themselves get so worked up over absolutely nothing. Who the fuk cares what another poster writes or thinks, unless you are sharing the bed with the poster. This is cyberspace and many personalities come with it, quit taking things so personal, many times a poster will post something just waiting to get a reaction, as it is hilarious watching it happen. If you are not taking things so seriously you can see these posts a mile away. Take the post by NinoBravo, as that is a perfect example about what I am referring to.

From your posts you seemed like you might be new to the scene in Colombia and I just wanted to give you a heads up to not get taken advantage of.

As others have posted, there are some truly wonderful non-pro girls in all of Colombia, and most likely and hopefully your 'date' is among them.

Also as others have posted, the prices you mentioned do not sound unreasonable either.

As with most things, experience is the best teacher.

Contrary to some reports, I actually have been 'out on the town' and with some great girls, however, I've been fooled as well, especially when I was new and just intoxicated by the beauty of the Colombiana and new to the culture.

I learned from it though.
I don't profess to know any more about Colombia than the next guy, as a matter of fact, I enjoy learning from other vets, however, I most definitely do learn from my own experiences and mistakes.

Today, I, as well many other experienced guys on this board, can sense and / or spot a girl right away that is, or is trying to take advantage, and they are definitely out there.
Usually that little voice that's talking to you inside your head is right when it's saying, hmmmm this doesn't seem right.

This internet forum is great because not only can we get lists of places to go for fun, and get the reports on certain places and girls, but guys can share their good and bad experiences, and warn other guys of possible traps.

The obvious bottom line is to go out, enjoy life, have fun!

Enjoy your time with your girl, enjoy Colombia!

RE Chica Pricing. Well I have heard some girls asking 200 cop for a short date but for the most part a Colombian just understands money in hand and then I need to spend this! LOL! Econ is not a core requirement in Colombia education system it seems. I'd say no 100 and down for casa chicas and the like, 150-200 for Mansion type girls and then the Phase 2, La Isla girls 200+.

Hey, I want to tell you, in the past I have had girls that invited a cousin or best friend along for a night on the town, and guess what, on more than a handful of occasions, I was banging that cousin or best friend a few days later. My cell phone rings with the cousin or friend on the other line saying they had stolen my number out of the other girls cell phone and they were interested in me. Turn the negatives into positives in Colombia, especially if you're good looking, can speak the language and a cool cat (a little of Rick's lingo, LOL). To be all paranoid and lock yourself in your room, or be at the mercy of the worn out mansion and centro girls is ridiculous. Like you said, enjoy the good times. For me its always been the more the merrier.

Thanks Ricker, no opology needed Man just going out there to have a good time. Not a fan of going to places like mayorista to find chicas for pennies on the dollar. I'm just a hop and a skip on Southwest Air to Tijuana so theres plenty of $20 chicas there. I like the non pros and the seminpros too. They can take you out show you a good time get to know this beautiful city of Medellin. Then afterwards no need to try to sweettalk them to spend the night. I love it. I appreciate all your posts.
