Going to Ortigas in Pasig to play poker at Metro for a couple of weeks during Christmas. I've been to Makati twice before around burgos, but as I understand Ortigas is on the affluent side and girls there have their own money. I know Entertainment Complex and Burgos is about an hour by taxi, so what do you suggest for girls in that area? I want to avoid online and apps as they just spin my wheels for nothing.

The pros typically have little or no description of what they want. The term "open minded" typically is used by pros to indicate they are pros but also by GG to indicate they want / expect a gift. However 2 of my GG had empty profiles and refused gifts so it's by no means consistent.

In general profiles which say "serious" are the GG. About 50% of the GG I dated in Manila and Cebu jumped in bed the first date. The rest required 2 dates, though there were 2 first dates with different GG that I had no interest in bedding and never had a 2nd date.

It was not easy trying to guess in advance which girls where first date in bed vs second date in bed. Scheduling and guessing when to expect a girl in bed was very time consuming, but after the first time it was awesome being able to pick and choose which hottie to come over. So lots of upfront work but easy after that.

I have a bunch of leads on non-pros from Filipino Cupid and have some questions about how to handle that, but first I want to figure out where to stay in Manila to maximize my limited time there.

I will be arrive late at night and hope I have enough energy (after a very long flight) to experience a bit of the nightlife and have a quick BJ somewhere. I saw someone mention Flight 168, which sounds like it might fill the bill.

But I gather there are not actual BJ bars like there are in Bangkok?

I am NOT looking to take a pro back to my hotel that night, I don't think I will have the energy. Just want a quick blow & go. Any advice other than Flight 168? I am also interested in seeing the seedy side of Manila nightlife. Should I go to P Burgos Street?

I am thinking of staying in Makita or down by the bay (like Ermita). Any suggestions?

Day Two I hope to connect with one of my FC contacts and go for more of a GFE. I guess a nice lunch and some shopping then back to my hotel for a swim. Will the girls be impressed / receptive to a nice hotel? Or does that set me up as an easy mark? In some places "normal girls" are really excited to experience a nice hotel and nice meals, and it really makes it a fun experience for them. Is this a good strategy for FC girls in Manila?

Then I go up-country for two weeks but have a few days at the end back in or near Manila. I was thinking of going to a beach resort somewhere within an hour or so of Manila. Any suggestions?

Separately, if you're not aware, there are phone promos you can register to. So choose either Smart or Globe when you buy your sim. Theyre about the same in terms of price and quality but the best one is the one that's most widely used in your area. Because sometimes the girls have a problem cross netwotk texting. Others can advise about Manila. But if your destination is Cagayan, ask one of those girls which network is most used there. That's probably the best one to stick with if your phone only has one sim, like an iPhone. If you don't care about money, just load 1000 pesos and start calling and texting. Otherwise you can Google "Smart or Globe promos". Hopefully your phone has voice recognition so you can dictate your messages.

All that has been written about a lot but worth repeating, I guess. Hope some of it helps.

Have a lot of contacts on standby. Ask the girls that list "Manila" as their location if they are in Manila. You'd be surprised how many are in Province and you'll be amazed at the number girls that suddenly go "no-comm" once you get in country. Also, you may find their English proficiency is much worse in real life as a lot have someone do the responses for them on the dating site. Don't have your heart set on meeting a particular girl and you won't be disappointed. You can also search DateInAsia but don't make contact with them until 2-3 days prior (short attention spans and there is always a guy younger and more handsome competing with you, even if he isn't planning to visit), and beware of trans on both sites (unless that is your thing).

As for the beach, it is hard to travel between any two points in Manila in an hour and you don't want to swim in the vicinity of the Bay. I haven't been to Subic Bay since the Navy base was open, but that beach has bus service from Manila, I believe, although it wouldn't be worth a day trip. You could hire a taxi as well. I'm not sure how bad the water quality is. It isn't easy to grab and go with a normal girl with short notice since they have babies to take care of, or school, or jobs, or family commitments.

The bars you go to will probably be determined by your hotel location. Ermita, Pasay, along the Bay. EDSA Entertainment will be easiest. Ortigas, Makati. Go to P Burgos Street.

Any good places to play pool (or billiards as it's known in the Philippines) in Manila or Makati these days? Ideally with more than one table, where you can play against the waitresses (or hostesses) if you are travelling solo, or with a lively atmosphere if you already have a girl with you?

Preferably somewhere relatively near either LA Cafe or Burgos, but if there's a good place somewhere else and it's worth travelling to then that would be useful to know as well. If the waitresses / hostesses are good looking, that would be a bonus!

On previous trips I have played pool in Rogues, LA Cafe, Filling Station, G-Point, Hard Rock Cafe, Heckle and Jeckle, Handlebar, Duck Inn and Howzat. These places are mostly OK, but some of them can get busy.

I guess I've been spoiled by going to Pattaya, where there are pool tables everywhere, and you hardly ever need to wait to get a game!

By the way, I appreciate there is a separate thread for Makati, but I thought I would just post my question once, to save duplication!

I wouldn't swim in Subic Bay. And it's not exactly a spectacular beach anyway. For a place with 7000+ islands, the Philippines isn't exactly blessed with sand beaches. It's mostly rocky and dead coral. And anywhere around cities or river mouths is too polluted. ID forget about the beach with that short amount of time.

About just grabbing a "normal girl" and taking off with her, SP makes good points too. If she's done that with other foreigners, no prob. But to just pluck an experienced one and take off with her, you'll have to be pretty slick.

I'm not trying to discourage GT. Just want him to go in mentally prepared so he don't go buang.

I know this does not relate directly to Manila, but I put it here as a response to GT's questions--and because it's really about sidetrips from Manila.

GT, you've gotten lots of good advice on most aspects of your plan. You seem to have midas' touch; many first time visitors who ask questions get the proverbial RTFF. You, on the other hand, have people falling all over themselves to help you. Perhaps you have a wonderful reputation that precedes you from one of the other forums. I will join the helpful procession.

Regarding resorts, others advised correctly that beaches at Subic Bay are bad news. Especially at any of the beach areas near where the Olongapo River dumps its sewer-laden discharge into Subic Bay, the water is foul. There may be one area on the back side of Subic Bay that is different. I was there about five years ago and found nothing unpleasant about the water, nor did I get any rashes or illness after swimming. I am referring to Camayan Beach Resort. The resort is next door to something called Ocean Adventure, a SeaWorld sort of place on a smaller scale, complete with trained dolphins and killer whales cavorting in the water with trainers. Price of admission is reasonable for what you get.

The resort has a small pool but also a roped off swimming area in the bay with a diving platform anchored off shore. There is a small but decent restaurant and hotel rooms and cabins, although I was there on a day visit and did not stay overnight. Checking the place on Google Earth I found a number of photos that are accurare representations of what I experienced. I collected some of these photos into a file, but ISG wouldn't let me upload because of file size.

The downside is that the drive to Olongapo is upwards of three hours, and then you need to travel a fair distance through the Subic Freezone around to the back side of Subic Bay to get to the resort.

I have also heard Filipinos talk about some resorts along the coast of Cavite Province, approximately an hour south of Manila. Because they are well south of Manila Bay they are not directly diluged by the Pasig River and other Manila area polluted rivers and estuaries. But it is generally difficult to get totally away from pollution anywhere near inhabitated areas of the Philippines.

I did some exploration with Google Earth in areas along the Cavite coast and discovered a place called Tanza Oasis Resort. It was larger and more conspicuous than some of the others. Interestingly, the website has numerous photos of an attractive swimming pool, a nice hotel and restaurant, but no actual photos of the beach. I was able to pluck some photos from Google Earth, and it may be worth your checking it out as well. Just type in Tanza Oasis Resort Cavite and Google Earth wil take you there directly. Likewise with Camayan Beach Resort. Then check out the photos people have uploaded.

What is conspicuous from the beach area is several rows of picnic shelters set back from the beach, all done up wilth fake Nipa grass roofs. I have visited places like this elsewhere and found that they are usually rented by the day to groups that travel in from short distances away. An extended family or group of neighbors rent a jeepney for the day and load it up with pots of pre-cooked food, swimming gear, water, and all the people. They pay a fee to the resort that covers both the shelter and swimming privileges for the day.

Disclaimer: I have never been to Tanza Oasis Resort, so I have surmised from photos that there is an implied separation between the hotel resort area and a less attractive beach area with picnic shelters. In this way the resort can separate the paying guests of the hotel resort from the Filipino masa. Hotel patrons presumably have access to the beach, but you'd need to get a close-up look to see if you'd want to swim there. If any of the local expats have experience with Tanza Oasis, please chime in here.

Japanese are the number one preferred customer for the girls.

Koreans are now in great numbers Phils, and almost equally popular with the local ladies.

Caucasians, have been relegated down the feeding chain.
