Just wanted to add to those going to discos that girls in Taiwan will not tell you no, or at least not directly. They love being ambiguous. If they are not interested, they will talk to you for a while, feign interest, and then make an excuse to leave. Any type of "maybe later" is not good. The golden rule is anything not a definite yes, is a no. Feel free to try, I'm just saying more often than not, its better to spend your time on the next one.

As far as my experiences are, almost all girls are approachable but since girls go in groups they tend not to take off with a foreigner in front of their friends. Loners or wild girls are your best bet and as always you'll find them in select hotspots.
