@Hotzo: I can only agree with Noddy. I come to Thailand on a regular basis (stationed not far from there) and no way Kenya is cheaper on a general basis. If you stay in a descend place in Kenya (fridge, fan, clean, comfortable bed.) you pay at least double for it than compared to same standard in Thailand (say Pattaya, Phuket). Food is much cheaper in Thailand (and better IMHO) and the chicks generally cheaper on a longer term basis. In addition, mongering and hunting is sooo much easier since the business is much more obvious. The one and only reason I currently prefer Kenya for my monger destination is the challenge of something new and the fact that I'm getting real bored of mostly skinny and flat sisters. A good wide ass with solid legs and juicy tits is something I dream of. In addition, African women know how to please a man if they want to, Asians still lack that sex drive. But looking at numbers only, Thailand is to prefer.

but i do believe that there are some points to be quibbled with regarding noddy's assessment of costs in mombasa.

if noddy is referring to mombasa the city and not to surrounding environs, he may well be right about lodging.

but if one is willing to spread out north to mtwapa, just 30 minutes north by matatu with heavy traffic and 15 minutes without, clean lodging can be had for between 1000 and 2000 shillings a day. and, in my view, the experience is far less touristy and, therefore, far more desirable. (but that is not the point here).

and i had some wonderful culinary experiences in mtwapa as well as in mombasa: local cuisine and indian food respectively and quite reasonable (500-700 shillings for superb, abundant and straightforward indian food in mombasa town and nyoma choma with spinach and ugali [sic? ] in mtwapa, for example).

when i did pay for a girl in mombasa i never paid more than 1000 shillings. (please, no flaming about stinginess, blah blah blah. also not the point here).

bring a laptop, spend 1000 shillings a week for unlimited usb high-speed wireless access from orange, and your entertainment needs are taken care of.

quite cheap, in my view.

Admittedly, when I travel it can be for several months and I live quite frugally. But living reasonably well in Mtwapa, my expenses panned out as follows:

2 bed apartment in Mtwapa - 2000 KES.

Food and drink - 2000.

Transport / taxis to Bamburi etc - 1000.

Female entertainment - 1000-2000 per day.

Totals out at about 6000-7000 KES a day or in sterling (my home currency) about £40-50. I know it is possible to live in Pattaya for a similar amount although one, of course, would have to restrict mongering to perhaps a daily trip to Beach Road to enjoy the dubious delights found there.

You will be much the same amount of non-need money.

100. 150 Euro a Day plus Hotel plus Flight = so 3000 Euro for a 2 week Trip is for the most Thailand Tourist a realistic Budget.

About Kahama: is this your only Answer for Hotels in Mtwapa? I think you stay Long time in Kenya? Kahama Hotel is in Bamburi Beach and not in Mtwapa, so where is your Info about:

The reality is different.[/QUOTE]The real problem is that me too can't pay so much for a holyday because I have to pay every day 90 euro for another doctor who works in my place so you can imagine how expensive has been for me the stay in Thailand, of course never more to pay all this money you can go to Rio or other amazing places

I think you can eat in Kenya as nice as in Thailand, but I don't have a problem if somebody tells me that their acquired taste preferences are better served in Asia. But please don't make this a general statement.

You might be right in terms of costs but if I can afford it I'd rather go where the girls tickle my fancy and in that department, at least IMHO, Kenyan girls are in a different league.

Ofcours, in 27 visist in last 6 jaers. I don't notting from mombasa. The new visiters now all thinks better.
