Bangkok Reports

I'm passing through towards the end of next week for a couple of days and want to know what the current status of the tollway from the airport to the Sukhumvit area is. I guess it doesn't really matter how long it takes getting in, but it's sure useful to know how much time to allow when I've got a plane to catch on the way out.

I've kept up pretty much with the flood risk from the media and from Giotto's posts, but I haven't been able to get any info on the airport road, so if you've flown in or out in the last few days, please take the time to post. Thanks.

No problem to get from the airport to the Sukhumvit area. That's all in the dry zone. 45 min. as usual.

Thanks.[/QUOTE]I did this yesterday: Arrived at Suvarnabhumi at 1230pm, put my luggage in storage, caught a taxi to Mango. The ride was about 55 minutes. The drive back at 7pm was faster.

I had been to Bangkok earlier. Couldn't find good looking thai girls. Had to settle for eastern european girls.

But this time. It'll be just thai. After all m coming back to Thailand. Not uzbekistan or turkey.

Anyways guys.

Yingluck can either be the fall person for a disaster that has been waiting to happen for 50 years, which you can really blame on the ineptitude of the Thai mentality. Or she can be a hero for helping to save the business / tourist areas of Bangkok. I am betting on the latter. However, this will only be short lived because the next natural disaster is just around the corner with global warming taking hold. Just look at the map. She needs to provide real leadership for that to be averted. I am betting against that.

Thanks.[/QUOTE]I'm in BKK now from two days alredy, everything is ok and dry here, only mineral water its still not available in 7/11 but no problem in Hotels and restaurants. I been also in mango and ez. Full of nice girls and a few people around streets. Beer Garden to night was empty at 11. 45 but I had alredy a very good session in az so now I'm in my room soi 8 tired but happy. Maybe Ill move to Pattaya or hua hin in a short time.
