Sorry Tuggar, you pay and paid too much
Well, 1000 for 26 nights in Lesi Ukrainky Boulevard is quite a lot for Ukraine's standard. I talked to lots of girls in Kiev and they said the average salary is around 250. 1000 is 4 months worth of salary. Quite a lot actually, these are foreigners prices you see on Airbnb and the like and I do believe I got scammed (and they agreed with me). One girl offered to find an apartment for me next time I'm in town and I'll let her do it.
Everybody should have a local person that arrange things for them otherwise we pay foreigners prices everywhere in Ukraine. Accommodation, taxi, clubs, escorts ecc.
Long term 500 per month is a monster price (scam price) for Kiev.
There are a lot of students in Kiev that come from neighboring cities to attend university and of course they can't pay 500 per month. This is the price students pay in Paris, Berlin, Rome, Barcelona, Madrid ecc. Not Kiev.
All the prices listed on Airbnb, Booking, Dobovo ecc are scam. Have a local find an apartment for you and you'll laugh at those price.
And as for the rest, I agree that Kiev is not a third world country. Girls aren't stupid or different from every other girls. They either want a beautiful young guy or a rich guy.
In Kiev I see most hot girls paired with hot guys of the same age (you can spot them on every subway station, shopping center, main streets ecc). And sometimes (but less) you see some hot girls paired with a fat bald guy driving a very expensive car.
And despite the stereotypes there are lots of attractive guys (18-25) in Kiev, much more than in the rest of Ukraine.
I paid for the taxi exactly like Ukrainians, I just call them and I got a sms with price. Escort, I used mamba, normal girls, I avoid the pros in Mamba that do everything with condoms and charge high price. I usually pay around 600-1250 UAH for one hour, it depends on the girl. And sometimes the hour is two and I still pay the same price. Furthermore we sometimes go having a lunch together, so we spend about 3-4 hours together.
I quite often have a business lunch and I give a tip of 5 UAH, like the Ukrainian do.
About apartment if you book on airbnb, an Ukrainian pay exactly the same price as you, because that's short term, for a few days, week or 1 month. If you take a lease for 6 months or 1 year, you can get the same price as Ukrainians, but you don't look on airbnb or dobovo for that kind of long term.
Well the students, they usually sleep in a dormitory or share a room with a friend. If they have more money, they might rent a bedroom for themself or a small apartment with a 12 months lease. By the way I avoid Clubs, too pricy for nothing or nearly nothing. You are new here, that's normal. Next time you will make it better. No need for locals. With them you will be ripped off, giving them all the time tips.
12 months rent for 300 Euros. Not just 1 month
Well, the girl I talked to said she can easily get me an apartment (new) in Podol for 300 per month. You don't get those prices on Airbnb, if you're lucky you get a 15/20% off of their listings for long term stays. Unless you rent ugly apartments.
I agree with the taxis but you have to use Uklon or some other apps, otherwise you pay foreigner prices (IE scam prices).
Escorts in Kiev don't cost that low, unless you bang really ugly girls. Girls in Kiev aren't stupid. The really top girls (pro) in Kiev get a Ferrari / Porsche / Mercedes, expensive clothes and whatever else they want. They have a sponsor. They'll laugh at you if you give them 1000 grivnia. You can spot them driving around Kiev in Bentley, Range Rovers, Porsche ecc and if you take attention you'll see that often those kind of luxury cars are driven by females.
Then there are the escorts that go to expensive clubs. They ask from 100 to 500. They're pretty but a level below the ones I said above. If you haggle a little bit you can lower their prices but not too much.
Then all the rest but for 1000 grivnia you bang the leftovers of Kiev. You can bang those girls without paying.
Tuggar, in Kiev, you need experience or hard work.
I don't have escort anymore, I just use mamba. And my 1000 UAH girls are not ugly. They are not top notch chicks, but they look good to me and I enjoy their nice body and to talk with them. Most of them only speak Russian, so we spoke in Russian together.
Your girls were right about the price of 300 Euros for a NEW apartment in Podol, but that's the price for a 12 months lease. Nobody can get that price just for one month. I am in a new apartment now, far from the center and I pay 300 Euros for 20 days. So for the month would be around 400-450 Euros. Last year I paid with dobovo less than 400 Euros for an old soviet style apartment with dobovo. And a really nice one in Klovska near Boulevard Lesi, I paid 550 Euros for the month. I had luck with these 2 apartments. I just rent it at the right time. Now the nice one in Klovska at 550 Euros is around 800 Euros.
Taxi in the streets try to trick everyone not only foreigners. I experienced that with my Ukrainian girlfriend, but as she could speak the language perfectly, she was able to get the price down. However it didn't work every time. You will do better the next time, just have to learn it.
First time in Kiev suggestions?
Hello,
I will visit Kiev next week. Some standards question. Please recommend.
- actual escort services / experience (specific girls?
- apartments to rent in central city where I can invite the girl.
