Chica cooked dinner for my birthday, and supplied a birthday cake. Of course I had to pay for everything. But I give her credit for knowing how to cook and insisting on doing it. A chicas expectations of being compensated for their time doesn't change. The only thing that changes is the payment arrangement. I got hell on here when I said I like to have chicas cook for me, but that is what works for me. I got a nice 1 bed room condo set-up for my next trip to Sosua so I might have to hit Playero and stack the fridge up when I get there.
My first day in Sosua was yesterday and I had a really good time. After arriving mid afternoon I walked around to get the lay of the land and find all the important locations. I then checked out Passions to lose my Sosua virginity. I liked the place. The only similiar experience I had with this type of establishment was with Centaurus in Rio. I haven't been to Rio in a couple years so I can't say how Centaurus is now, but there were always some knockouts. Passions I didn't see any knockouts per se but all of the girls were attractive and had different body types so you could find pretty much any type of girl you're into. The most notable difference between Passions and Centaurus is the price. Passions can't be beat in that regard while Centaurus just got too ridiculous and that was as of a couple years ago, I can only imagine what it costs now. Also, in Rio the room you bang in is already set up and when you are done you just leave it as is for the cleaning staff to take care of. At Passions the girl brought sheets with her to change the bed for after we're finished banging. Afterwards I found myself helping her make the bed rather than just standing there watching her do it. The sex was decent, nothing too hot. Centaurus, the sex was always hot. So, overall, Centaurus was the better experience as of a couple years ago but that's not saying I'm disappointed in Passions. It's just different, and with the price I'll definately check it out again.
I hit the popular bars last night and I must say I was impressed with the talent. Some of the hardcore chicas were just annoying after a while. I guess you can't blame them for their over aggressiveness with all the young talent around. I brought back this really cute petite chica. She wanted 2000 but I went no higher than 1500. I agree with a little bit of everyone's opinion, I like Alex Deuce deal with 21+ year olds, If you like 18 & 19 year olds "Whatever blows your "hair back" If you "like it I love it" but what worries me if a chica claims she's "18" I am paranoid she's probably 15 or 16 year old, I realize there's no sure-fire way of telling with fake or someone else's cedulla, but I agree there's plenty of 21+ year olds in the Dr. I deal with them, this system works for me. I came to the conclusion that the dude wrote that piece not because he was concerned about guys over paying or he cared that certain guys were being thought of as monkeys or niggers etc. He wrote that piece mainly because he was protecting his own interest, for the mere fact that he lives there now.
When he was just a tourist on vacation, his outlook was different. How he paid for his vacation was different. How he viewed expats spending on chicas was different. As an expat now, he has had to make some adjustments in how he spends his money, much like others before him. Living there, paying 2000 to 3000 pesos is a big deal. I get that. Whereas for the vacationing tourist who is likely still working, and making a decent income, paying 2000 to 3000 pesos instead of 1000 or 1500 pesos is only a difference of $25 to 40 respectively. Those minor differences don't make a guy any more or less of a sucker, or more or less respected. Chicas are going to think whatever they choose to think about you. You are buying pussy, so I don't expect them to have the highest respect for me anyway. It's just business, it aint personal.
This kinda reminds me of a friend of mine that lives in North Carolina. I live in the NY NJ area, but when I visit my friend that lives in NC, he and other guys make a big deal if I leave a $5 tip. They always make snide remarks about me spoiling the servers who expect less. To me, a few bucks more is not going to break me. Nor is that going to make me be seen as a sucker. While I do take heed to advice regarding seriously overpaying (like $100 US) , I don't buy the notion that I have to adopt the sentiments of expats who have inherited the mindset that every $500 pesos over paid makes one a sucker. If a chica thinks I'm a monkey or a nigger, she is going to think that way whether I get the pussy for 500 pesos or $100 US. That was a slick touch on the writers part to throw out that bait in there about how those Sosua chicas supposedly think about guys on vacation. Anyone emotional would get upset and grab that bait and run with it. I suppose that dude is seen as less of a monkey or a nigger, because he pays less? Well isn't that exactly what the tourist on vacation does? He offers more based on the service and/or rapport established with the chica. I wonder does he do that for the chicas that think he is a monkey or a nigger? How would he know the difference?
The concept of overpaying is well understood. But one must consider the circumstances of the one paying. Overpaying to an expat may not be overpaying to a vacationing tourist. Each should respect where the other is coming from, and not try to impose on the others view of things. If and when I become an expat living in another country, I'm going to remember how I felt and saw things when my circumstances was different. I'm not going to turn into one of those expats I hear and see from time to time complaining about those NEW Yawkers coming to Sosua fucking up these chicas heads.
In fact I'll go even further. I'm pretty sure many of them expats are thinking and calling guys monkeys and niggers too. So it's not just the chicas who are name calling and stereotyping. It just may be the dude who's mad at me for no reason other than because I am on vacation doing it my way, as opposed to me living up to his lower standards and spending habits for my vacation.

He isn't an old dude of retirement age. If you go to his website, you'll see the dude in question fucking some chicas. He's a slim nerdy guy which is how he describes himself. However, there is something to be said about being in Sosua full-time and developing more long-term / ongoing relationships with the chicas. In addition, a guy that is there full-time probably comes across a lot more opportunities to capitalize off than the weekend millionaires or even guys that come down for a week or 2. He has much more time to try to develop chemistry and long-term repeat business that might afford him lower / more local rates. Also, he has a car and is able to get out of Sosua and recruit chicas from non-touristy areas. I don't think you can really compare the average Sosua monger to guys that live there. Also, this guy says he is location independent because of his business, which is probably something most guys only dream of at 32.
