When the name Pune came up for a place to shift, I was not very sure what will this city hold for me. Apart from the general lifestyle, the little me actively put in a request for exploring the punting scene here. That was the first time when I browsed the Pune forum and found it to be extremely helpful even with the limited menu.

Whatever the experiences in Pune were, it was never mundane. Starting with an independent in Aundh, I have seen the highs and lows of Pune in a very limited time. Where there were euphoric meetings across most hotel rooms in Pune, I also traversed the dark underbelly that is Budhwar Peth. Each adventure was enriching with the last month exclusively devoted to something special.

Now when the time came to cut this journey short for migrating to a megapolis which holds far more promise than Pune, I have suddenly developed an unexpected fondness for this city. A sense of melancholy has set in bidding farewell to this flawed city. Something I never felt for any other city. It has been hard for me to uproot whatever little roots I have cultivated to settle myself.

As I said, this place is not without its fault. There are scammers abound. Sometimes like a moody girlfriend, it has been completely indifferent and aloof to my pleas for a release. Yet when all the pieces fall in place, the results are often spectacular. I met people behind the usernames and getting an insight into their lives was almost therapeutic. Countless others also identified with my experiences and some were inspired to explore their fantasies based on them. These little concoction of experiences are more than enough to intoxicate me and get me unexpectedly infatuated with this city. An affair that is going to make me nostalgic every time I am going to.

So here I am with one of my ridiculously long posts, trying to bid adieu to it, yet my heart is not into it. I have already shifted to the newer abode that is quite vibrant due to the impending Christmas celebrations. The ladies here are absolutely lovely with their pronounced cheekbones and toned legs. The food and drinks are fantastic with a huge menu to choose from. Yet somehow I feel that I have left my heart back in Pune. So till I bide my time in this city for a significant time, I yearn to return to Pune.

Till then, goodbye and thanks for all the fish.
