Can you suggest me what is the best way to split the trip between places?

I was thinking 2 days Manila 3 days Cebu and 4 days Angeles city. Is it good enough? Need guidance.

I ahve been to Bangkok, Pattaya, Dubai, Europe and many other mongering destinations. Reading the forum makes me look, kL is not so convenient and easy with many options like Bangkok and Pattaya.

Please help me with leads!

Which clubs to visit for freelancers!?

Alternately, 5 nights Makati, 4 nights Cebu city (as post-covid prices have doubled for barfines in AC, and girlie quality and service is reported as having dropped).

Its hard to imagine how you will return the favour with "help in India and Dubai" when you still only ask others to answer basic questions for these places too. Do you actually have any info that will help others?

I'm normally helpful, even to newbies who don't know what they are doing, but there is usually some effort put in first or reciprocation of information.

Its surprising that some members get moderated for life for the slightest infraction but posts like this pass though without issue.

Your timeline is really whatever you want. But, if it is your first time, I would pick one place and stay, or maybe two at max, so you can get used to the area first. 9 days really isn't a very long time, especially if you factor in travel time to the Philippines (if you're from a western country) and you get jet lagged. I would suggest to stay Manila if you want to have other activities to do other than mongering. I've never been to Cebu, but it's supposed to be nice. Just realize that you will be wasting maybe half a day in just travel to the airport, in the airport, flying, and going to your hotel. 110 million people in a country this small = major gridlock. Just my advice. . .

Many thanks WestCoast for your advice to the Gentleman. I too was mighty perplexed as to how to break my Philippines trip. Your advice came in the nick of time and it will help me in better planning. I am though breaking my trip in Singapore first only for a day as we do not have a direct flight from Delhi to Manila and getting a Philippine visa is another pain in the ass by going to the embassy after an appointment. I too can only spare maximum of 12 days out of my schedule. The Singapore is necessary for me as once my passport is stamped with Singapore entry; I get visa on arrival. Plus, it is a very long flight from New Delhi to Manila with a stop over in between any part of SEA. Many thanks again. Allow me to bother you, just in case. Although, I have read the forum and updated myself.

Does anyone still have a use for their old 3 G phones? My home country is joining the 19th century and cutting off 3 G service. I'm pretty sure the same has already happened in the Phills and everywhere else I go. Hence my faithful play phone will soon be no more. No idea why but I also have a drawer full of similar old technology.

Are they all paperweights, destined for the bin, or can they be useful for something?? I don't want to be 100% reliant on wifi or hotspotting other modern phones.

I guess I could stop being a tight wad and shell out $100 for a replacement. 🤑.

As an aside, I'm absolutely shitting myself that I'll loose all my WhatsApp contacts, photos and messages during a transfer to a new device. Access to the original phone number, for third part authentication, SMS messages etc is loooong gone.

I've also made a point of jotting down the names and numbers of my WhatsApp girls in my 'little black book' (with all my passwords) just in case things do turn to shit one day. G.[/QUOTE]Them getting rid of 3 g is to repurpose the 3 g frequencies, out of the countries that have made this move, they all still have and EDGE network up which is 2 G so your phone should still function in that capacity however 3 g would be gone. Of course the phone will still continue to work in the philippines without issue, might just have to use a new phone for the home country and old faithful for philippines.

The towers they use in the provence are pretty shit and you can still get 2 g and 3 g signals. The banks still use 3 G in the philippines in the ATM's. There is no way they can phase out 2 G in the philippines, too many devices need this and I have not heard any plans to phase out 2 g at all in the philippines as VoLTE propagation is extremely low. So they still nesd 2 G for basic services which means your dinosaur phone although crippled data speed will still work in provence most likely until everyone who reads this has died. A lot like divorce I think phils will be the last 2 G holdout.

On my last PH trip, I happened to spend two weeks with the same girl in Manila. On my next trip (probably 4 weeks), I am tempted to take her somewhere that's not Manila. I would like somewhere cheaper, beachier and quieter. And ideally not a family-oriented place, or a place full of young foreigners haha. It shouldn't be too onerous to reach from Manila; flights and buses are both okay, long ferry trips less so. At the same time, I am okay with there also being at least a few commercial distractions (I. E. Malls, movie theaters, food, possibly a hotel pool etc.).

The girl is from Mindanao but lives in Manila now. I am hesitant to propose to her that we go to her part of the country, as I don't see any upside to involving her family.

Only place I've ever even visited outside of Manila has been Puerto Galera, which was okay, but a bit much. In other words, it doesn't have to be a mongering destination, as I will be bringing my own. She does have what I assume is a real passport in case there's any obvious spots outside PH.

So where do I take this girl? Cebu? Bohol? Subic? Dumaguete? Iloilo / Guimaras? Somewhere on Leyte or Samar?

Am I making a grave mistake even considering this? Generally I try not to get committed in any way, but given the good experience last year, I figured I'd give her another shot before she turns 20 and ages out of my target group. It doesn't have to be 4 weeks, could just be 3 or 2.
