Are you going to travel to an area that is in emergency? And adding your needs (food and beverages to say the least) to those of the locals, struggling to get supplies.

In an emergency prices go more through demand, more if there is high demand because of tourist that can affordnto pay the double for these as still 1/10 of their price at home. In need you pay whatever, regardless of what price police says.

And what if sukhumvit got in troubles: dry but surrounded by waters?
