Dominican Republic is now being seen as a major distribution point in the Caribbean with associated links to prostitution and violence. There is major reallocation being pushed be the REPUBLICAN HOUSE as well as EU programs. Coupled withe Menendez incident, I'm more than certain just as the crackdown in 2005 something will happen. It is all local. There was an attempt to shutdown Sosua 2 years ago. There was big money behind it. Family tourism was the reason. It did not work. There are many reasons for this. The anti-P4P forces did just not pop up overnight. There are many reasons why P4P has survived including money and business interests outside of P4P itself. There are going to be crackdowns and there are going to be compromises. There are going to be changes. Some many people here won't like. But one way or another it is likely to survive or else it wouldn't have after all these years. The DR goverment could just legally ban it if they wanted too. I have not seen any indication that they would do this. But then things change.

The compromise in the last crackdown was a "Tolerance Zone" moving the P4P area further inland away from the tourist areas.

This was not possible at that time. It is still under consideration. It would take time. There have also been other compromises on the table.

But the real issue is does any body really want to put put big money into Sosua to make it a family tourist area. The anti-P4P forces hope so. The last guy to try apparently has had his plans fall thru. The new port might help new family tourism further west in the PP area- but Sosua?

Yes P4P in Sosua might be shut down as it almost was 2 years ago. It would likely then come back in one way or another or just come back all the way like it has in the last 2 years. Lets see what happens. But US politics have absolutely nothing to do with this and should not be part of the conversation.

It would take a huge amount of money to upgrade Sosua to a family friendly town. Some one may have those deep pockets. The DR is full half constructed projects that were started and never finished because the cash runs out. My opinion is Sosua can not compete with other tourist sites. Boca Chica, Puna Cana and caberete all have a big leg up on Sosua. The funny thing is how can you promote sex vacations.

It needs Puta clearing, a upscale casino on the beach and marketing. More than enough capital available but few believe there is a commitment to clean up.

Sitting at work feeling motivated like never ever before to make a lifestyle change. Being limited to a total of 4/5 weeks out of 52 to enjoy life is ass backwards. I was fortunate to meet and hang out with a couple of folks from the states that made the transition and I appreciate the knowledge shared. I'm not sure if Sosua or anywhere near will ultimately be the choice, but from a budget standpoint the cost of living is very attractive.

Anyway, I figured I'd get the post out while I'm motivated and before the reality of my life really kicks in then I'd be too depressed to rekindle my recent experience! LOL.

I apologize if my offerings seem jumbled because this is not a typical trip report but mainly a collection of bullet points. No particular order. Just trying to quickly get some thoughts that I believe may be useful.

First, I had the same chica for 3 days straight. Last night was free. We never mentioned cash at all. I hit her off the first two days, but I was in a rush the last day and she saw me off and made no mention of it. It actually seemed like she wanted to cry. I know, I know. But it did feel like a genuine moment. If I would have seen her my first night in town, I probably wouldn't have switched at all. Only 2 chicks the entire four days. Not one ST or midday / night activity. Hearing some of the more recent reports, it was made to seem that I wouldn't have a snowball chance in hell finding my patient GFE when I actually found two. Now, I offer this with a grain of salt. I get the feeling that my "transactions" could have went either way if there was a change in my behavior or if I offered ST. Being honest, even though they were both laid back, I could have blown the opportunity. Beleive it or not, the chicas are watching your behavior as well. You will get profiled. I guess it is fair. I profile the chicas too.

The entire scene gives off a ST vibe. The stunners are offering one pop, overpriced quickies. No thank you. I'd take a solid 8 with the right attitude any day. Plus, just the thought of being the fourth / fifth / tenth dude of day is not attractive to me. It is one of the main reasons I turned down a ride of this fine babe in Passions. I took some newbies there around 8 pm and all I could think about was how many dicks been in the chick that night. She was very alluring and hella sexy. I'm positive she is in high demand. I came very close, but I couldn't bring myself to do the deed. As I age, I need more of mind fuck and the slightest thing will throw me off and then there is a malfunction. I also don't believe in popping pills like popcorn. Once in awhile for backup, but I don't want to be solely reliant on that.

I did talk to many chicas and I told them exactly why I wouldn't choose them. I really think that our behavior dictates a great deal of what happens on the scene and if we demand more, we get more. They want those pesos. Make them earn them and give you the level of service you demand. But a lot of guys are fucking it up. In and out the club with a new chic, acting disrespectful, don't acknowledge or speak to the chica after the deed, chest bumped out like some big ole pimp. Etc. I think humanizing the transaction greatly improves the experience. Even if you choose ST, sit down and talk with the chica beforehand. Buy her a drink or two. Try to establish some level of comfort and attraction. Treat her like a hoe. Get treated like a trick.

I only saw one incident of the making it rain posse and it was over very quickly. I guess there are not income tax or bonus checks left to blow. Haha. Generally, people were well behaved. I didn't see one fight, but I swear I came close to punching out the one leg dude because he was straight buggin'. He even followed me across the street.

Dlatins is the main spot. Too crowded and hot on Friday and Saturday nights. Friday night had the best talent pool. If you need a break from the crowd, go across the street to chill. If you have to be in the mix, you'd better get there early to have a good seat. Sunday night was perfect. You actually get a seat and walk around without getting our dick grabbed or ass squeezed every other second. There was no real opportunity to dance other than shoulder to shoulder and that ain't dancing. Plus it was too hot for that shit.

Went to Big Mama's at the end of the strip. I love Big Mama. What a friendly lady. Please go support her. Prices are really good and the service is great.

I rented a very nice condo right off Playa Alicia. Close to everything. I don't think it is the spot for the sport fuckers or those that party hard. The price was great if shared with another person. I had the two bedroom condo to myself. It was a little excessive, but I think I'm done with the hotels. Sound contradictory, but I enjoyed having breakfast and kick'and it with fellas at New Garden, but I doubt if I'd ever stay there again. I like to escape the scene.

There was some very nice talent walking around during the day. In town, on the beach, in the stores. I mean it was a couple seriously sexy, pretty chicas. But again I didn't feel comfortable because I didn't know what they just got finished doing. It seems like more of the waitstaff are becoming available. I'm sure I could have had two different ones at Dlatin and I for certain had one from El Toro, but my babe snatched me up that second night before the bartender could get off work. I like the idea of using the staff because they can't mix it up like the freelance chicas. And at least that limits some of the use.

Anybody need a good, fair taxi dude when traveling from STI, I can hook you up. He even took me to lunch across the street from the airport on my return trip. I paid $90 US. The food was good too.

All in all, I'm glad I ventured to Sosua again. She is what she is. Just remember you do dictate your vacation. I'm feel fortunate to have this farewell tour of sorts. I've been averaging a trip roughly ever six months, but it will probably be a couple years before I return. I got to shake the Sosua pull and go to other places. She is almost like my ex-wife that I held on to for too long before I know I need to get the hell out of there.
