If I can locate an old regular from some years ago (unknown if she is still kicking around BKK or not) that would be the idea GFE kind of trip for certain. But likely I might have to grab'and'go. I just have maybe 2 days of taking care of stuff in BKK before heading to the beach for some serious relax time. I guess if I find a keeper in that time, I can just bring her, otherwise hoist myself down to Cha-am and see what I can find there. If too disappointed in what I see, I think Hua Hin is a pretty short bus ride away (much closer than BKK) and that has lots of choices I understand.

Never been before, looking for mid ranged hotel, possibly close to beach and girl friendly. Also with fairly easy access to bars.

I am going to be in Khao Lak for a few days in December to do some scuba diving, but would like to get in some mongering fun as well if at all possible. I know Khao Lak is nothing like Phuket or Pattaya, but is there any P4P action there at all? A lady bar or club where one can find FLs would be great but even a massage place with extras would be nice. Any info or advice from the Thailand experts on the Board would be mos appreciated.

I've been there before and there are a few beer bars on Soi Bamboo with girls in the evening. I stayed at the Aonang Beach Resort and brought girls back with no questions but the place was rundown and am looking for something nicer as I will be there in February.

Perhaps you are thinking of Aonang or Raylay Beach?

I would not be too worried of Thai hotels not being GF. Provided you book a room for two, I have never had a problem with bringing a GF. If you want to make sure there will be no problems, just email the hotel and ask what is their joiner-policy and whether they will charge a joiner fee.

Its quite far from the Ao Nang market (and the market doesn't' have more than 3 bars). At least that's what I saw (may be Krabi Town has more). Decent rates can be found at times.

I am in Hua Hin right now.It is a nice little town. There are plenty of massage parlours here. I have a feeling that very few of them offer full service. My theory is that the ones that do is in the area around Hilton, because it is there most of the girls bars are. I have been looking around and many girls/women have shouted after me from massage parlours and bars. But noone has really appealed to me. Maybe the average is not so much below Bangkok but in the big city there are such a variety so there is always someone that I like.

A couple a days ago a cute girl approached me at the street, started to talk and asked if I wanted massage. This was where four lanes meet like a fork.It was a little bit west from Hilton. "The Limehoues Guesthouse" was in one corner. The girl's place was just after "Tropical Massage". Her name was Noo and she came from Chiang Mai. She was cute and I felt from her behaviour that there could be much more than massage so I said that I would come back. I was not well so massage and/or sex was not a good idea.

I went back today. Noo met me at the alley but she had obviously forgotten that we already had met. I should have guessed that it was a very simple place. It use to when the girl pick you up at the street. She knocked at a door. Her colleague opened. She had just finished another customer. It was one room with three beds and curtains between. They offered me full service and asked if I wanted two girls. They wanted 1000 Baht each for the sex and 2x300 for the massage. I accepted.

The other girl called herself Tiki. They were quite nice. Noo was tall for being Thai and pretty. Tiki was not so pretty but looked better when her clothes were off. They were amateurs on massage. They delivered what they promised but sex was very average. It was too much routine and it was obvious that their groans were fake. A plus whas that Niki's pussy was rather tight which improved the feeling significantly.

During the massage they asked if I would like to have water. But I had to pay. And they let me pay for them too. It was not much money but it is bad style. I did not complain, not to ruin the mood, but already then I decided not to come back.

Maybe this overall not so fantastic experience was just accidental. And it was not much money spent compared to what I have to spend at home, But I think I spend the remaining days at the beach and the pool and stick no traditional massage. Instead I plan to spend one day in Bangkok before going home.

I've been here for a few days and the report above is pretty much what happened to me as well.

There are 'impressions' and not a final review since I want to tackle this place a bit more. I did the same Khon Kaen and concluded that Khon Kaen sucks.

Overall setup: As others have stated. The general setup is at Jet Yod that is filled with mini bars that usually have one or two girls on average. There was another one that had more but they were overweight ladies in their mid 40's along with bad faces.

The area has a few massage places but I'd say 75% of the lookers were mid 30's and many of them fat. A few young cuties here and there but too rail thin for my taste. I do like athletic bodies.

I tried two massage places with no talks of sex or anything afterwards. One place I had a massage from a semi-cute mid 30's Burma girl. We went up stairs on those inflatable mattresses that had hollow walls where you can hear the person next door. She did slightly 'brush' up against the happy area but nothing serious. One time when I flipped and the private jewels weren't really covered with the towel. When it was rising. She smirked and put the towel to cover it up.

Sigh. Anyhow, during our session, she kept asking questions saying that I must have so many girlfriends in Thailand, and that she wants to take me out to see a movie the next day (which is coming up tomorrow). If I am married, have kids, that she really likes me. SIGH again.

No talk of sex or hints after massage. She drops me off my place after her work at 2 AM which was nice of her. And then. I invite to come inside but she said that she wants to go home, sleep, and take me out tomorrow. I kept insisting to come inside. She said OK. She will. But that she won't DO anything. I told myself. Fuck it. Just let her go. And that I did.

I will say this. The massage she gave me was great. I mean, she was the first massage that I ever had that is in a sex tourist area that was real. She was a real massage lady.

The previous massage was the same as above. Except the girl was interesting in going out with me. Very good massage. But no offers of sex or anything or even a hand job.

Small Bars: As I said earlier, these bars have two girls on average. Sometimes one. Sometimes 3 or 4. One girl motioned me to come over and I did. She had great legs. I knew she liked me on one hand but we didn't click. She was the type that was used to some guy carrying the conversation, making some dumb jokes. Etc. But I was sleepy, not a social guy. So there was too much awkward silence with uncomfortable tension. I knew where this was going. Take two people with social anxiety in the same room and you have a disaster. And that's what happened.

Oh, and I did try to socialize with her.

She sat across from me, I sat across from her. And it was weird. She broke it off as she was eyeing on two younger Aussie guys who where there for awhile playing pool. Even though I could she did like me, she had these MMA fighter types that she was eyeing on as her other target. It felt like a bad date or bar pickup back home in the US.

Conclusion of Impression: In jest, I hate places that you have to do a lot of leg work to find a girl. I've tried that in Bangkok and managed to get girls for free or dirt cheap once and awhile. But its work and not guaranteed.

Chiang Rai feels like that. There are over a dozen or so of these mini bars. But the fact that there are only a girl or two really limits your selection. And I like to be smart with whatever I get. I don't like to jump in and start buying some girl that may have a cute face but a pot belly because she is sitting down hunched in bad lighting. Also there is no guarantee they will leave with you. I don't know 100% for sure, but that's what it feels like. You could buy a girl a half dozen shots of watered down crap and she may not go with you for logistical reasons (your place is. 5 km too far for her). Or she is not horny and feels satisfied since she made her quota after buying drinks. Or she is simply not eager to go with you.

This is why I like soapys, guaranteed FS with menu at Massage places, and gogo bars. Not 100% guarantee. But 96% or higher (I've only been rejected once in Pattaya and once in Khon Kaen. Though Khon Kaen wasn't a true gogo bar. It was a coyote place where the custom is more or less to buy girls drinks without really taking them home for the night).

Chiang Rai is this kind of place. Nothing is clear cut, the selection is too low just by virtue of numbers. I could see how a few others had a good experience here. I really do. That's why I want to hit the area harder tomorrow. Also the massage lady wants to go on a 'date' but I might just pass. I could see it coming. We go see movie, have dinner. She wants to get a bit more serious. And withholds sex. Argghh. I hate giving off relationship vibes.

Overall. Chaing Rai is disappointing. I'm giving it 3 more days. Also will be staying in Chiang mai for several weeks and will report. So Chiang Mai is actually worse than Chiang Rai? I don't believe it. But it wouldn't surprise me.

After Khon Kaen and Chiang Rai. I may have to go to Angeles. Thank goodness for that place, THE best place in the world and heads above anywhere else. Too bad its a shit city that gets tiring after two weeks.

There are NO gogo bars that I spotted which I really like since you can see the girls body better. The advantage of a gogo bar is that you can spot a cutie with a nice face but could have a flat ass with a pot belly and avoid the hassle of paying for a dud.

Take the bathbus to Aonang. Veranda hotel is 150 m from the bars and 700 m from the beach. GF hotel, but book double room.

Could I draw upon those with greater knowledge of the kingdom than I please, by asking if anyone knows whether Chinat town has a local red light area?

For the board member who planned to go to Ao Nang in Krabi Province. I have been there and can fill you in on things a bit.

There IS action there though the scene is small. The main drag curves around from Noparattara (sp?) beach (almost all Thai) to the other end of town. McDonald's / Starbucks is about the center point and there are numerous shops headed toward the beach and around the curve, along with restaurants and shops selling usual kitsch. There is also good street food and another strip of restaurants as you are at the curve--esp. To your left. Many of these venues have live music and there are many foreign tourists.

Hotels tend to be expensive resorts in the 8000 Baht per night range. I booked my hotel off of Agoda for $39 a night. It was almost directly across the street from McDonald's. There were also many European guys who come to Ao Nang each year and rent Bungalows, which I believe can be had for Baht 8000 per month, a great deal. Most also rent motorcycles, which are around Baht 5000 a month and I did not hear of any scams involving bike rental such as I've heard about in Phuket. One caveat about hotels is that I have heard they are almost completely booked up in high season. I went there in March, flying from Bangkok to Krabi. There is a bus that goes to all the hotels in Ao Nang and at the time I went there (in 2012) it cost Baht 150, a lot cheaper than a taxi which would cost at least Baht 500-1000.

Ao Nang basically has 3 bar scenes which I know of. The first one is on a small road to the left of McDonald's and across the street from McDonald's and Starbucks but about 4 blocks to the left (I do not know what direction this is--sorry). Most of the bars are dead along this road but I found one good one with a variety of girls and a pool table and good atmosphere. I cannot remember its name but it is owned by a mother and son and is a good place to hang out.

Going down the main drag back toward McDonald's and past it (on same side of street as the other road), there is a sort of gulch similar to the one in the middle of Loy Kroh Road in Chiang Mai. There are a number of beer bars here. I did not fine a girl from this area so do not know barfines and prices. The bar fine at the small, friendly bar I first mentioned was Baht 500 and the girl asked for Baht 2000. The "gulch" area has its fair share of ladyboys so beware unless they are to your taste. Quality of the women varied but was better than I expected. There seem to be a LOT of Thai women from Ubon Ratchathani in Ao Nang. (have no idea why?

Just past the gulch there is another small road with a few more beer bars. Some of the girls in this area were gorgeous and I bar fined one for 500 Baht and 2000ST. She was from Ubon, 36, and very attractive.

The only other mongering place reported to me was at the corner of the "curve" in the main road, where there are a series of bars and shops, upstairs and downstairs. The Airport Bar, on 2nd floor, was supposed to be a happening place. I went there about 6 PM one evening and was the only customer. There was one Thai girl there who offered to play pool with me but would not even accept a drink that I offered to buy her. I took this as a very bad sign, LOL. About 7:00 PM a couple of girls came and set up shop at the tables on the bar's balcony. Both were overweight and unappealing and I left the bar to explore the other bars downstairs. These bars were rumored to have action but I saw mainly expats in them. There are some single female travelers there and many hot Russian women, if that is your thing.

Reportedly, freelancers who aren't barfined hang out after midnight in front of McDonald's. I never saw any but I met a woman my first day while on a walk, a hairdresser with great fake boobs and in her 40's but well-preserved. I spent most of my days with her excepting the 4-5 times I kicked her out of my hotel because she was drunk and belligerent--also an Ubon girl as were all her friends.

Also, I have read reports that the massage women along the beach will hook you up with ladies. There are a number of open air massage places along the beach walking toward the karst formations in the water (turn left at the curve instead of following it around). Some of the massage ladies are cute young girls who might be available for motel rendezvous at a later time. Some are older Thai women that I heard will set you up or try to set you up with a girl. I cannot verify this but it is worth trying if you visit.

In general, Ao Nang is a fun place. It is not Pattaya or Bangkok and the action is similar to what you might find in Hua Hin, for example. Still, there is action to be had and obviously a possibility of meeting local girls, as I did. The town has many good restaurants with tasty food at reasonable prices. It also offers good live music. You can get a taxi to Krabi if you want to see the sites there, such as they are. Krabi did not impress me as much of a town.

Ao Nang is laid back, a bit insular, but one can have a good time there if one follows the usual formula and comes across as fun and cheerful and respectful. It helps to know a bit of Thai, but this is not absolutely necessary as almost everyone I met spoke English except my hotel owner who was a Thai Muslim and spoke very little English.

Regarding the Muslims--the town has its fair share and many are street food vendors. There were bombings in Hat Yai while I was in Ao Nang but the local Muslims seem quite affable and are widely accepted in the town. Any fears of insurgency or uprisings are groundless.

Re: The Beaches--the beaches are beautiful with the karst formations but they are nothing special so don't go if you require a pristine white-sand beach along the lines of Boracay in Philippines. The beaches have a mild surf and are pretty heavily populated by both tourists and Thai, either locals or also tourists. Island hopping to Koh Phi Phi, Koh Phanagan, etc. Is quite doable and there are a number of travel agencies in town offering small boat transport. I cannot remember the prices but I believe they were quite high. Any place where the average resort costs about 8000 Baht per night is not going to be the cheapest place. However, Ao Nang is a lot less pricey and pretentious than Phuket. It would be a good place to take a companion and is a place you can meet one, as well. If you go, I hope you enjoy it.

After wandering around the Nang Thong area a couple of nights without success, I did finally find a lady bar. It is called Violet's Bar and is located about half way through town just off the main road on the left-hand side if you are going north. The two nights I went there were only about 3-4 girls working. None better than 6/10. Prices pretty standard for Thailand. 500 baht for bar fine and 1500 to the girl for ST, 2000 for LT. They have rooms nearby available for 200 baht for 2 hrs. I tried out one of the ladies. 34 year old by the name of Jane. Her English is fairly basic. Things started a little bit slowly but picked up quickly and became almost GFE when I gave her the treatment with my tongue and lips. After the DATY from me and BBBJ from her she applied a cover and banged her in multiple positions finishing in standing mish.

She told me that there are also bar ladies at the Monkey Bar in Nang Thong (I didn't see any the night I stopped by) and at the Tha Bar in Ban Niang but I didn't have time to head up there.
