Here is a Q: Let's say you decide on ST from a girl in LA Cafe but don't want to take her back to Your hotel. I'm assuming there are no on-site facilities, right? A ST hotel next door?

Most FL know where to go. Otherwise, there are several under USD50 family hotels in the area. Same with the Burgos area. If you plan to play, you can check in and use it multiple times. You can tip housekeeping to change sheets in between. Works even with name brand hotels.

So dropped by LAC last night at midnight, many ladies like Thursday only two worth propositioning but didn't work out. Ended up with my third choice, not a looker in my books but a decent lay (didn't want to leave empty handed).
I guess for the weekend Fri. / Sat one must get there earlier in the evening.
Midnight is good for a Thursday but maybe 10 pm is better for Fri. / Sat.
I arrived at Terminal 1 and got a Yellow taxi to Makati hotel. We took the skyway and there was no traffic to speak of. Getting on to the skyway I noticed the meter was already past 200. I mentioned he had a fast meter but he said it was working fine. By the time we got to my hotel the meter was 675 pesos. I just patiently got my bags out and got the hotel guys to take my baggage inside then confronted the driver about the meter. I said usual charge was 250 and I would pay him that. He proceeded to argue about it and I dropped my offer down to 150.
Then he said he would take 250 and I told him that it was too late for 250. He argued a bit more and I decided to screw him and walked away. My last words to him was "you tried to screw me and now I am screwing you, you lost today".

131 pesos from Ermita to Terminal 3 in an Uber the other morning.
By the way the Yellow taxi was number H-242.

I notice you posted a number of short field reports from Colombia back in 2014, and then nothing in the forum until a lot of short, specific questions on the Philippines and Malaysia boards in January 2018. It might make sense to figure out your general plan--where you want your hotel, what distriict will you hunt, and so on--and then work out the tactics on the ground. For this question your best bet is to ask the girls at LAC. They will know the answer as well or better than anyone on this forum.
Within two and a half blocks are the Boulevard Mansion and Duck Inn. Boulevard is not short-time. Not sure about Duck Inn. You can google them. Maybe others know of other nearby lodging.
By the way the Yellow taxi was number H-242.
You've shattered my total trust in yellow cabs. With white city cabs I have sometimes been tempted to call the LTFRB number posted on all the cabs. Has anybody else done that? With what results?

Plenty by Robinsons Mall. Two of Manila's finest brought me to a mansion a few blocks heading away from Malate church (IE the other side of LA Cafe). As we entered, a rat bolted for it from inside. Not the best start of a romantic interlude but banging their little brown bottoms made for a pleasurable afternoon.
Good for you if you have time to argue. By not paying anything, you could get in trouble. He could be in trouble also for overcharging, but the net result is usually the foreigner who pays with time or money. He now knows where you are staying and the kuyas are vengeful. IMHO, better to toss him 150 or 200 and walk away.

Right next door to LAC is Brickstone Hotel. Literally 1 minute from the LAC door.
Clean and well-appointed rooms, similar to Eurotel. 600 php for 2 hrs during the day. Don't know the night rates.
The girls all know it of course.
You've shattered my total trust in yellow cabs. With white city cabs I have sometimes been tempted to call the LTFRB number posted on all the cabs. Has anybody else done that? With what results?
3 months ago I took the Yellow taxi from T1 a Pasay hotel. As he left the airport I reminded him to turn on the meter. He acted like he did but didn't. At the hotel he said the meter must have broke and said 400 for about a 120 pesos fare. I got my bags out and had the hotel people take them inside. I paid him 150 and afterwards realized I was too nice about it. This time I wasn't.
2 times out of 2 trys and I am believing this is standard operating procedure again for Yellow taxis. I suggest we make this our SOP to patiently get your bags out and walk away if this happens to you.
Stopped by around 7:30 last night, (Saturday) not many ladies at that time, maybe 2-3 worth pursuing. Since I was staying in bgc the trip back was putting off the 2 ladies I would have taken. So note to why'all, stay near by for better luck.
Ended up leaving empty handed, was going to call it a night but decided to try Burgos. (Usually not my scene, the bars are too business for me and the street has too many people watching your moves) decided just to see what inside pickle bar looked like. Basically maybe 15 girls all in bad shape, mamasan said 5 k plus. Left right away.
Took a lap up and down the street and a freelancer caught my eye and said Hello, went back to bgc with her.
After Burgos chick left a previous working girl contacted me and met me in bgc.
Great night even though LAC came up short.
Was going to have Burgos chick come back to enjoy the pool, dinner and a lay today but needed to leave town for business.
Til next time.
I'll be in AC tomorrow (Monday) local chick freebie, dinner and a movie with a local (haven't laid yet) and if need be a quick lap in high society for a short time. Wish me luck!
All taxis, especially airport ones, will try to rip you off. If they don't turn on the meter, I have them pull over and I get another one. But meters can be tampered with. I have been leaning towards Uber and Grab types because you get a better idea of the costs. I use contract or hotel services usually just to avoid the hassle after a long flight or trip. The amounts are tiny but it is just the feeling of getting ripped off. I was offered a ride into NYC for USD300 from JFK.
.... I was offered a ride into NYC for USD300 from JFK.
I just avoid these buggers and take the train. I prefer the hassle of the train to being ripped off. I try to always travel light. If Uber becomes ultra reliable I'll eventually sell my car as its preferable to driving.
