What exactly are clinicas? Like small brothels? How do I find them? Going to Brazil in March for the first time. Trying to find something like that. German eros brothels style.
Random observations over the last few days.
I stayed a few nights at the JW Marriott. Used to be the Four Seasons and, in fact, Uber shows the pick-up as being the Four Seasons Hotel. The hotel was great and the rooms much better than the Renaissance, but I would not recommend for mongering. They're aren't any safes in the rooms so I wouldn't feel comfortable bringing back someone I just met.
Went to Bomboa Tuesday night. Room fee was are $170, not $150 as reported earlier.
Scandallo Thursday night was dead. I was there from 10:00 until midnight. The outdoor area next to the restaurant was closed off, the upstairs was closed off, and overall just had the pandemic era vibe. Took a Blanca back to my hotel (I moved to the Grand Hyatt). I felt like I was overpaying a bit but the little head was thinking, not the big head. However, she and the little head were muito simpatico and the big head thanked the little head later.
Hey CatBert, I appreciated your reportage about Scandallo on Thursday night (I assume it was on the night of Dec 29,2 nights before New Year's Eve.) because it is looking more and more likely that my next trip after my May / June upcoming visit will be over December 2023/ January 2024. A few BM's have already given me some insight into what to expect over the holidays and into the first week of January and your report confirms it.
On prior trips I have been to Scandallo on a couple of different national holiday nights and it was a similar vibe and situation to the one you reported. Like you I was able to find a nice girl anyway, but my ace in the hole for next Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve is my Valerie. I will have her over all 3 nights for an intimate, quiet time and after the New Year's I will probably take her somewhere nice for that 1st week in January 2024.
P.S. The Sao Paulo JW does not do it for me. #1. It is too damn expensive. #2. It has an inconvenient location. 3. It has an indoor pool. And #4. While I am not worried about having a girl over because I can always place my valuables in a locked suitcase, a wall safe is a lot more convenient. Plus, the JW SP does not accept Chase Marriott annual voucher nights, so the hell with them. I like the Renaissance, but not at ++ $250/ night. Ha Ha. I would rather spend my hard-earned money at Scandallo and Bomboa on smokin' hot girls. I like 5-star hotels, but I am not in love with 5-star hotels. KKK. The Grand Hyatt SP, on the other hand, is a pretty good deal for what you get for a lot less $$.

How is the location of Grand Hyatt in terms of getting around SP? The Renaissance, from other reports, seems like the ideal location to stay but like you said, it is $$.
I am surprised to hear that there is no safe in the room. When I stayed there in July there was a full laptop safe. However, I stayed at one of their suites, which I found spacious and modern.
I agree that the location isn't ideal for nightlife, and I probably prefer the Grand Hyatt which is nearby and offers better overall service and amenities.
The one positive I found was that their lounge was open 24 hours and you can get beers and even Red bulls from the fridge and take them to your room at any time.
Their breakfast selection was pretty mediocre, but I chalked it up to it's new opening when I stayed.
I am also surprised to hear that you can no longer use the Marriott CC free night certificates, as I used one for my stay early this year. Their cash rates are pretty high, and they need to step up their game big time to compete at those prices.
Axel. I have two separate stays booked in April. All nights are redemption. Cash rates are really too much, but I had some free nights to use. I don't have a Marriott CC, but instead have the Ritz Carlton Visa. Don't think that would make any difference at all.
This will be my first stay at the Sao Paulo JW. I am done with the Renaissance.
Socrates. Mediocre breakfast at JW? Nothing surprises me anymore. On a positive note, during my stays at the Renaissance (11 nights in January, and also February), I found the cafe the manha much better in the exceutive lounge. Good people there, and that made a difference.
FWIW, I have had the best breakfasts in some of the flat service locations in Jardins.
Do you have to use up the consumption before you leave and then they'll let you back in with no charge or are you saying even if you use the consumption before you leave they'll still charge you to come back in?
Yes ,if you don't use your consumption, and leave,it will go to waste, even if you do use them and exit, reenter again, you need to pay the $500, thats if its after 7pm. Not sure what you pay if you exit at 3pm, and reenter at 5pm
It's easy to use up the consumption at this joint and advisable since you'll just be throwing away money if not. Food is great and can definitely replace a lunch or dinner meal.
From open time til 10 pm its just an upscaled hooters restaurant. Less space and less girls. All you can do is eat and drink since everything is closed off so you're just a sitting duck for the waiters to fuck you and then the girls to slap a fork in you and call it a day. I see no reason to go before 9 pm because of this and less more so with this new development!
The nerve! I have half a mind of writing the Brazilian ambassador to the US and the president of brasil for this atrocity!
Yes, if you don't use your consumption, and leave, it will go to waste, even if you do use them and exit, reenter again, you need to pay the $500, that's if its after 7 pm.
Many thanks to Nounce, Axel Heyst, DreamCarnarvon, Bearsi, The Critic et al. I really appreciate the solid advice on how to go about things in Brazil and the different points of view from these fine gentlemen.
Brooklin Massagem: I went there yesterday afternoon and four girls were presented, one Ruiva, two brunettes and a black girl. The redhead was sexy and I was tempted but I ended up choosing the brunette named Duda as I recalled reading good reviews of her. 24 years old, very cute face with a plump body but I dug her. She happened to speak pretty decent English for a Brazilian clinica girl so that made the session a little more interesting. She gave an awesome BBBJ where I asked her to slow down and she engaged in some stellar BLS and literally made gentle love to my cock. Put the rubber on and we went at it in ppmm (papa mama which is Brazilian for missionary LOL) where I enjoyed looking at her pretty face and kissing her before I shot my load after 15 minutes. We had an engaging conversation until the buzzer rang and all in all an hour of my life that was well spent.
Scandallo: I plan on visiting today and will go with Axel's advice and pay the are $500 and try to experience the place at its peak after 10 PM, rather than getting in before 7 PM to save are $200. Don't want to be tired of the place before it really starts kickin, though judging from all the posts that would be unlikely. Even if I don't pull I hope to get some contacts for the slow days around New years for outcalls to my hotel.
Casarao: I'll definitely be visiting this club, given the high praise from Bearsi and other members as well as the cost effectiveness.
Damn $60 US ATM machine fee? Never heard such a thing. Max I ever saw was $15 at a nightclub, which I thought was steep.
Thanks Papae Noel for reminding me of the terms of the Chase Marriott BONVOY Boundless credit card vouchers. The specific terms are: "Receive 1 Free Night Award every year after your Card account anniversary. Award can be used for one night (redemption level at or under 35,000 Marriott Bonvoy points) at a participating hotel. " with the key restriction being REDEMPTION LEVEL AT OR UNDER 35,000 POINTS. My mistake was forgetting that rates vary over time depending on hotel demand. When I was 1st looking for hotels for my May / June 2023 trip the Renaissance was over that 35,000 pt ceiling, so I booked a room at the Sheraton with my voucher certificate. The Sheraton is not a bad hotel, but in that neighborhood, I prefer the Hilton next door and the Grand Hyatt about 5 blocks away.
Anyway, I just checked the Mariott site and the Renaissance is now available for 27,000 pts on the date I had in mind, so I cancelled my voucher Sheraton reservation and booked the Renaissance instead with my newly restored voucher. The reservation is only for one night, because I am low on Marriott points thanks to my previous weeklong free stay at the Renaissance last October on points. I like the Renaissance, but not at current money prices. And note: the Renaissance is a very popular hotel. When I was last there in October the lobby bar was overflowing with guests even after midnight. These family & couples were so many that they crowded out the FL's who on my previous stays used to sit comfortably at the bar. The hotel guests even took over the bench outside the hotel preventing Valerie and I from smoking weed there. HA HA. No worries, we smoked on the other side of the hotel, and no one bothered us.

German eros brothels style.
It's pretty much what you described. They are all over the city, mostly concentrated in Moema. Great for daytime activities.
A few more random observations.
First, I provided bad intel about the JW Marriott. Based on responses below, I looked more closely when I stayed there last night, and sure, enough, there's a safe in one of the drawers.
I went to Bomboa again Friday 12/30. The place was dead. Maybe 7 girls, 5 of which were sitting at a table with a bunch of locals. Time was about 10 pm. There were more guys in the place than women. Right before I was about to leave the locals left, freeing up a real stunner who was not only the stereotypical Brazilian beauty (curvy but no extra fat) but was just tipsy enough to be completely uninhibited in the room without being sloppy.
Saturday night (12/31) all the boates were closed. Oh, well.
I've spent NYE in Rio before and the vibe in Sao Paulo was completely different. I chatted with the bartender at the JW Marriott and he told me it was typical for Paulistanos to travel over NYE which may explain why everything was shut down.

Use google translate to read the reviews of girls. Prices posted are for gp-guia members who post, so you will pay more if you are not.

I was not able to get any photoacompanhantes girl to answer me all day and none of the clinics were open so I made my first visit to Casarao. My first surprise was how easy it was to get to and how safe I felt there. The second surprise was them asking for ID. They did accept my US drivers license which was good because I don't carry my passport around. As a suggestion you might want to make a copy of your passport to take with you. The third surprise was how small it is. I arrived at 11:00 so it may open more later.
There were few girls there and I had not actually intended to session with anyone just learn. However I stopped to talk with one brunette GND type. After awhile I suggested we go down stairs where it is quieter and sit for a while. I love affection and she was showing signs of being good at it. She asked me to purchase her a gin and tonic and showed me that it would be 83 r. I said that was expensive but I decided it might be worth it. When it came she got some of the foam on her lips and french kissed me with it. Mmm yup I decided correctly. More girls were coming in and some were thinner and prettier but I am in the game for the affection. She explained that it would be 50 R for a room and 250 for her for 30 minutes or 300 for the hour. I don't remember the room rate change. Then she said if I wanted her to come to my hotel it was 150 to the house and 500 to her and she would make it very worth my while. I added up the costs and benefits and it was a no brainer. She finished her drink and we headed out.
You will be interested to know that I paid my entrance and her take out fee with my credit card and they did not put a fee on it. No percentage etc. She then wanted to get something to eat and we ended up at a burger place across the street. Again no concern about being safe. She had said she would purchase her own dinner and even bought me a soda. Though I could have easily done that I was interested in how she would keep her word and she did.
She ordered an Uber and asked if I would reimburse her. Of course! Arrived at the hotel after the ride where she was kissing and hugging tight into me. And she was as good as she had claimed. Fourth surprise. Wonderful oral no condom and very good muscle on the main event. An hour later she asked for the reciprical massage I had suggested. I gave hers first and she fell asleep. Then woke up and gave me mine. She said she would stay with me til 3:30 and set her alarm and cuddled into me. We both woke to her alarm and she changed it to 4:40 and cuddled into me. When it went off she turned it off and cuddled into me. At 6 she suggested another round which I gladly accepted. Wow what oral.
She is not a call girl but a civilian who only goes on occasion making a little extra so did not want a review or number out. If you happen to meet a brunette with large breasts that loves to cuddle and kiss you probably found her.

There is alot non pros / civilians in boates like scandalo and casasrao, two of my favorite places in SP although I'm more inclined to casarao considering it's a better value.
There are pros and cons for a girl who is a civilian / non pro but I believe it's more pros.
They don't nickel and dime you, they aren't the best negotiators and they don't watch the clock since they don't have 4 other clients to rush to and keep a schedule with. It feels more authentic and just a more organic interaction. They most likely won't rob you and they only want to make double what they make at work for the day which is like 100-200 brl, so 500 for the night is great for them.
The only cons I can think of is trying to see them again as they have regular jobs so it's hard to try to meet during the day or do an overnight. They also might be not as experienced as a pro.
The only place in Rio that comes close to casarao is Dolce Vita which also doesn't get packed til after midnight.
Lots of pros and some non pros there. Had a good experience there which I will write in my rio report. But as in all things in rio, it's a tiny place compared to SP standards. I would see the same girls all the time so the variety isn't there. One can find non pros all over rio but that takes time and great porto which is in short supply for most of us so it's not really in the cards.
Still reading through pages and answers may already be there. Trip in couple of weeks (end of Jan).
1. I will land at 9/9. 30 am. I am considering either Grand Hyatt or AirBnB. Sunday through Fri. Work trip with fun mixed in. Where might I have better chances of an early check-in and better sleep. Not sure yet if I am bringing anyone back for an all-nighter.
2. Read a comment that Scandallo should be the earlier part of my trip. But, would Sunday night be slow? Should I do Wed instead? Of course, thoroughly read about the two options, aka slow dinner at 9 pm vs not arriving until midnight. Clear on that part.
3. I don't know any Porto. I would love to, but two weeks is perhaps enough just to say "Hello," and equivalent of "meu português andão é bom". Can I still navigate the major clubs / clinicas? On that note, happy to hang with fellow ISG'ers if you are around.
