The SUV doesn't justify the double price compared to the 'normal' taxi's that are quite comfortable as well. Not for me anyway.

The last "fishbowl" spa that I remember and still current is by the airport in paranaque flight 168.

Been in Manila since Tuesday. Took 1 of my regulars, her 3 month old baby, her sister, a friend and the mother to the hot springs in Laguna for a day trip. Lots of fun. Rented a room so I had private time with and when I wanted! (not the mom though). LOL.

5500 private driver from 7 am - 6 pm, including gas, tolls the works. Can't beat that. Well, maybe YOU can but I don't give a damn. Chauffered service while I fondle the girls in the back seat or sleep is fine with me.

Its great having Rizal Ave close by. When I want an immediate release, there is always a LBFM available (SW) ready to please. They ask for 1000ST. I give it to them. They sometimes ask for something (300 php) for the mamasan, some don't. Kamagong hotel is great for 1 - 2 HR stays. Some girls look real skanky, some are drugged out, I ignored those because I was always able to find (surprisingly) a normal, clean LOOKING girl who may as well have been picked up from SKOUT or something.

One night I got the tricycle driver to slowly prowl the 2 sides of Rizal Ave while I kept an eye out for a SW. I saw a slightly chubby (but not fat) 24 year old who looked sweet and very nicely dressed. After negotiating the mamasan down from 1500 to 1000ST, we start heading to the trike to go back to my hotel (not to Kamagong). Damn the mamasan wants to accompany the girl (which I hate).

When we get back to the tricycle, I see a skinny (like 80 lbs skinny) , roughly 21 year old girl standing right by the tricycle. I switch gears fast, offer her 1000ST, and tell her to get into the tricycle. The mamasan starts arguing with me, but I wave her off and tell the driver to go immediately. Without ID, the hotel guard just made her write her name and sign and all was good. Another time, a girl I brought (a regular) who had no ID, the guards just took a photo of her upon leaving to make them happy! No girl has ever been refused entry.

Once I was switching hotels in Malate / Ermita area. While trying to get a taxi one of the pedicabs pulled up. He put the suitcase on the roof. A block later a car suddenly stopped in front of us. Pedicab driver had to quickly stop and the suitcase slid off and hit the back of the car. The driver of the car was a bit irate. No damage to car, nor suitcase. Another Manila adventure!

Great to pay a visit to LA Cafe around 6 pm yesterday. The cattle herd was abundant, lots of older herefords, but a nice number of younger, slim and very doable calves.

You got to love this place! I love the feeling that I am in the presence of debauchery. A mongers paradise. The waitresses are fun, especially the one behind the counter. 2 girls 'joined' me and I was whatever, go ahead and sit beside me. I get my food and when I am full and done, I offer the leftovers to them. They readily agree. After a while they ask for a drink. I say; "I bought you food, you can buy your own drink! Well, the waitress behind the counter heard me and laughed her ass off! The girls were embarrassed, but in true pinay fashion they don't get the point and keep asking. Ok, 1 coke. I wasn't planning to take either of them home, they were trying for me to take both for 3 k total. I ended up taking Samantha, 25, super skinny, (43 kg, stood on the scale in the hotel room). We walked back to the hotel, bought some SM Light (horsepiss) and she got a little tipsy on that which made her quite compliable. This one also decided on a cell phone as a gift instead of cash (said 1500), but she said she needed to go back to the bar for another client because a phone is nice but it doesn't buy you milk for your 2 year old son! I paid 2500 php for the phone on the street. Hey, BTW, I still have 1 more phone to give away for anybody wondering!

The food is surprisingly good at LA Cafe, I must say. Watch the little slips of paper though, not a big deal at all, but my waitress put down 95 php for the mug of draft when the menu says 90. She corrected it. I don't give a damn about 5 php but I don't want any of my fellow mongers or myself to be cheated!!

Sometimes LAC can feel the most grotty dispiriting s*hole on the planet and other times like you say (even on the same day) it feels like it should be granted World Heritage status by UNESCO. They have food? I usually graze at the shawarma place just down the road.

Can someone update me about current price tags in Manila for bar girls, massage places and freelancer girls? I read many many pages in Manila and AC forums but didn't see what I was looking for. Or at least no in details. When I speak about current prices, I mean no bargains, just what the girl usually asks for a normal looking girl.

Few months ago I was at Pattaya and I found two type of "establishments" and one other way to have some fun.

1. Regular massage parlours with fish bowls. You enter, pick the girl then go to a good looking room, do your thing. But no nuru massage, just normal massage or bath thing. Is there nuru massage at Manila? And what the parlour will charge you?

2. I had a lof of fun at Soi 6 where there is a row of maybe 30-40 bars one next to another full of girls. You walk on the street, look at the girls, then pick one, have a drink if you want or just go upstairs and enjoy her asian body. Is there anything like that in Manila and for what price? In Pattaya it was 1300 bahts (around 35 euro) without the tip and drinks but I guess in Manilla you have to spend a little bit more.

3. Freelancer girls wanted 1200 - 2000 bahts short time (30-50 euro) depending of the girl and her abilities. What is the regular price in Manila.

There are other cuisine options on the parallel streets, Mabini and Adriatico, and in Robinson's Place Mall. (I think it closes at 9pm.) G-Point has large portions, you won't be able to finish it, so take it out in a styrofoam box and give it so some begging kid along the street on your return to LAC. You will get back to LAC to discover that the scenery has changed, sometimes for the better, sometimes not. Plus, you'll be feeling good about yourself for handing the food to the poor kid, and your glowing attitude makes all the girls look prettier. Keep in mind that the "all the girls look prettier at closing time" dynamic does not occur at LAC, because they never close. You have to create your own placebo effect. Also, the fact that you're now smiling probably doesn't hurt in getting women to approach you.

Was at G-Point last night. What a geriatrics special! All old white dudes, many with hearing aids. The woman are all over 40. Nothing wrong with either, but if you fit this description, this bar is for you. Waited 45 minutes for my food order and when I couldn't take it anymore, I paid for my beers and left for Yellow Cab pizza.

I paid for my 1 drink then headed off to LAC. They had the most uncomfortable barstools ever in history in G-Point. That is half the reason I left. The seat is tall as all get out and you have to be either a giant or a midget to put your foot on one of the cross bars.

My only gripe with them is that they serve calzone (decent stuff) but without marinara sauce over the top. So the only moisture is inside and, for me, this just leaves it a little dry. I have had calzone in the states, Canada, Germany and France, and they all served it with marinara sauce. It has been about 50 years since I've been to Italy, so I don't remember whether they serve it with sauce.

Anyway, I have asked at numerous Yellow Cabs on numerous occasions whether I could get some warm sauce over the top of the calzone. It shouldn't be any big deal; just heat up a little side cup of pizza sauce or any of the other tomato sauces they use regularly. But they always insist they can't do it--not we don't know how to do it, but CAN'T do it. "Why not"? "Sorry sir, it's not on our menu. " I point out that in many Western countries it's served that way. "Sorry sir. " I offer to pay extra for the sauce. "Sorry sir, it's not on our menu. " I tried their calzone a couple times, couldn't coax any sauce from them, and so in subsequent visits always asked before ordering whether I could get sauce over the top. The answer is always the same, "we don't serve it that way," and so I order something else. I have had both calzone and stromboli at Sbarro's and other Italian places in the Phils, and getting a little marinara sauce over the top was never a problem.

Finally this past November I visited a Yellow Cab on Taft Avenue just north of Pablo Ocampo. My squeeze, her kids, and some friends were with me. Surprise, the manager, probably about 20 or 21, is a friend of squeeze's oldest boy. So I posed my question. "No problem, sir, we can do that. " The sauce came out nice and warm, served in a little plastic cup that some places use for serving gravy. The calzone with marinara sauce was great, and some other extras ended up on the table at no cost to us.

Okay, so this is a silly leave peeve, but satisfaction is underrated. It has brought back many cats that died from their curiosity. Free, next time you go to Yellow Cab, please consider helping out my cause with an inquiry about marinara sauce over the calzone. Thanks; I have it on good authority that you'll be going straight to Heaven.
