Afraid it is the way I described, Keeniu. Thais have money now, the bottom has fallen out of farang-lands, and working girls all over Thailand are positively raking it in on the Thai side of the biz. (The freelancers I deal with upcountry typically pull in around 20, 000 / month just working a few hours a day).

Working class Thais normally pay 500-800 baht for a 20 minute boom-boom, with some 300 baht options (the 'old lady houses'. Very old and unattractive ladies. 40 plus) still existing here and there. In 2000 baht places (ab-aum-nuats and kareokes) the girl clears typically half, and while most will refuse to visit you privately (they're already very busy and have large incomes) , a few will for about 1500 upcountry, more in Bangkok. Freelancer prices for Thais are typically 500 for the really unattractive ones. 1000 for reasonable lookers, and 1500-2000 for very pretty 'university'/Hi-so style girls. My middle class friends cannot even conceive of spending less than 1, 000 except if they go to a border town for a Lao girl, and even there they only go to the 800 baht house or the 900 baht delivery service.

Of course here I have only described the lower and middle end of the market. The wealthy Thais pay much much more than farang, but that's a fairly small market. The prices really are overall About the same, Keeniu, and perhaps the explanation is this. Thais are far pickier in terms of looks than farang, and are happy to monger only maybe once every couple of months. By contrast the farang visitors are here for two weeks of desperate two-or-three-per day boomsing, usually on a budget, before being condemned to going back to their hell-hole countries. So its a quantity-vs-quality situation.

Lastly I'd like to remind those who still feel inappropriately confident that they are somehow richer than Thais. You really aren't generally that much richer than the Thai middle class in their own country. Many of them make around $1000-2000 / month, which, while it doens't sound like that much, remember that they don't have to spend huge sums on plane tickets and hotels to go mongering. They just hop in the Altis or Civic and go round the way. Low overhead.

Westerners are not admitted or they must be brought in by Thai friends or business associates? Or are you talking about some of the high end BKK soapies I already know about and frequent, where rates can vary from a low of 2700bt up to and over 7000bt per session? Sell 100 coffees a day at 50 Bt average, Those make at least 2500 BT net a day. Small independant convenient store owner in Lad Phrao makes over 3000 Bt net a day. Internetshop owner makes more than 100K Bt a month NET! Not to mention all those other businesses where I have no relation with. So don't think about the teacher's 35K or graduated office girls at 15-18K, where a lot also make additional money up to 10K a month, and that is definitely not in the P4P business. So it is not all too bad in BKK. For those Isan girls in BKK it might all be different. Well what goes around comes around, the forfeit I was forced to do back in September after losing a bet on a Football game came back to haunt my friend at last, it was the fact I wrote it the other night made me think, 'it's payback time'.
